Is Donald Trump’s Macy’s Ad Offensive? (Cher Thinks It Is) Take Our Blaze Poll
November 13, 2012 at 10:12pm
I hadn’t planned to shop Macy’s until NOW. And I honestly don’t care for Donald Trump, but I’ll support his right to be on Macy’s or anyone else’s ads!
When Cher or anyone else uses THEIR celebrity to try to persecute someone for their political views I’ll ALWAYS do the opposite of what they want.
This Woman Lost Her Job Over a Facebook Post — And You Won’t Believe What She Said About Obama

@JOHNCHINN Whoopi Goldberg did lose her endorsement deal with Slim-Fast right after that Democratic “family night,” and there were some very insincere expressions of “regret” that the Whoopster had been “inappropriate.” What galls me is that with all the sensitivity over the Moulton guy (in the Indiana race to replace Dick Lugar as US Senator) saying that pregnancies after rape were “meant to be,” NO ONE on the left EVER called Whoopi Goldberg for saying the charges against film director Roman Polanski for getting an underage girl drunk, putting something in her drink, then forcing himself on her should be dropped because it wasn’t “RAPE rape.” There are obviously two standards of conduct – one for conservatives, one for liberals – who apparently get to make popcorn and eat it while watching film directors raping teenage girls.

This is one of those times when we have to decide whether you ARE crazy, or just monumentally stupid. You’re saying the author of the piece deserves to be fired? What’s your story? Obama fanboy?

Bullied? Canadian Student Suspended for Wearing ‘Life Is Wasted Without Jesus’ T-Shirt
June 1, 2012 at 12:38am
The principal of that school has some fundamental problems in her understanding of logical propositions.
Quoting the article: “If I have an expression that says ‘My life is enhanced with Jesus,‘ then there’s no issue with that, everybody is able to quickly understand that that’s my opinion about my own belief,” Pynch-Worthylake said. ”If the shirt were to say ‘Without Jesus, your life is a complete waste,‘ then that’s clear that it is an opinion aimed at somebody else’s belief.”
In the case of religions which claim to have an exclusive understanding of the universe and their adherents’ relation to God, praise of one is implicitly not praise of all the others. So Jews and Muslims would have (according to Pynch-Worthylake’s lights, if she were to reason it out) an issue with the statement ‘My life is enhanced with Jesus,‘ because they deny the central place of Jesus of Nazareth in theology. Almost ANY affirmation of one religion is a detraction from another, logically. They can’t all be right.
My point? Schools would be doing a lot MORE for tolerance between different faiths if they taught students how to tolerate each others’ beliefs and didn’t try to enforce a vision of political correctness which denies the superiority of one belief system over others. Tolerance isn’t not hearing about someone else’s beliefs, it’s being able to tolerate their expression civilly.
Better Late Than Never: AP Apologizes For Firing Reporter Who Broke News of Nazi Surrender
June 1, 2012 at 12:24am
Kennedy, along with all those other correspondents, didn’t get to that story by their own exertions. They got there because of the pain and sacrifice of countless Allied soldiers, many of whom were Russian. The delay was a noble gesture to make sure that the sacrifices of our Russian allies were honored equally with our own forces (my father was among those Americans who fought in the European Theater of Operations, eventually freeing countless Jews and other concentration camp inmates).
Kennedy broke faith with his fellow correspondents, and with the Allies who defeated Hitler. An apology is inappropriate, but typical of the “new” Associated Press, which shamelessly gives us its opinions dressed up as facts, and joins with the rest of the activist, biased national press in trying to make the news, not report on it.
