Amen, and I think this case goes verrrry deep. This is the tip of something big and bad.
Some would argue an entire religion is involved.

Hi Monk. I think Trump will campaign until sometime in 2016. Build his base. At some point he will leave the race for reasons pertaining to his many businesses and ask his base to back Cruz for President.
Wrong. I have been watching Trump very carefully and he is dedicated and determined to win. He really does believe the U.S. is in really big trouble and he really does love this country. Trump doesn't do anything without research and that is why he ended up jumping in this election and not the ones before. He is very, very smart and I had no idea how smart until I started watching him closely after he announced.
I hope so! Then Cruz/Carson could move forward and help put this country to rights! Trump is an actor who hasn't proven he would stand by anything he says. He is a rich guy who is playing bully on the play ground and enjoying everything his money has bought him...plenty of airtime and blind followers. He is another Obama, just louder. He gets what he wants from all he gives money to. He says exactly what he really thinks, but folks are only listening for his side show! Once he buys the presidency America will wake up only to see they chose poorly....again!

14th Amendment says 1 parent or both have to be s U.S. citizen. If both are illegals citizenship should not apply and both have already committed a crime by being here. No citizenship for babies born to illegals.
That’s not what the 14th Amendment says, and Supreme Court cases dating back over 100 years support the fact that that’s not what the 14th Amendment says. See United States vs. Wong Kim Ark for an example.
Anyone born on US soil is grated citizenship.
The one parent rule is for anyone born outside the US to American parents. But this rule goes farther than just having 1 parent a US citizen, other factors also apply. The basis of the argument that questioned Obama's citizenship deals with the timeframe he was born & the fact that his mother was only 18 at the time of his birth. I believe the law stated that the American parent had to have lived in the US for four years after the age of 18, which Ann Dunham didn't qualify. Obama could have still obtained his natural citizenship if Dunham's parents filed certain papers, but no proper documents exist. The rest gets more complicated in his case.
Since then the citizenship laws changed to give citizenship to anyone born on US soil (1965). The laws improperly assumed the non-citizen parents would have arrived in the US legally, but that wan't written into the law.
There may actually be a legal way to strip these 'anchor babies' of their US citizenship. Given the accepted ruling that prohibits someone from benefitting from their illegal actions or crimes, any two illegal aliens who have a child should not benefit by having that child obtain US citizenship. If one parent is an illegal then the remaining US citizen parent, if it can be proven they knew the other parent was illegal could be prosecuted for harboring or marriage for citizenship etc., therefore ruling the child was a product of a crime & not qualify for US citizenship.
Blaze sure sucks to day they block half of my post for NO REASON
Could someone who knows more about this help me out with this question:
If illegals have a baby that is born in America, what gives this country the right to claim that child as an American citizen? Or for that matter, the illegal parents to claim the child as an American citizen? The parents are subject to the laws of a foreign government as a citizen of that country. To make someone here illegally an American citizen would be a defacto renunciation of citizenship of the host country. I dont believe this is legal unless it is a case of asylum. Any thoughts here?
And no votes for illegals.
The 14th didn't grant citizenship to illegals - it granted citizenship to resident slaves and their offspring (but not "dependent indians").
It took the progs until 1900 to twist it to cover immigrants.
It was written to grant citizenship to freed slaves. That need expired 120 yrs ago - it should have been written with an expiration date but was so obvious in its intent they didn't bother.
So repeal it - just like prohibition.
Actually it doesn't say that....I wish it did, but it doesn't. The amendment was aimed at making former slaves, brought here or born here, citizens of the country. It doesn't deal with those here illegally at all, unless the "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" language can be said to refer to the legality of the parents.
Yes we all know the 14th has been twisted into big business - booking flights and hotels just so foreigners can give birth on American soil. It's got to stop!

I always carried my weapon on my person off duty same as on duty. For me that was the safest place.
magg: I live in a very warm climate. I don't like those black waist bags because everybody thinks you have a gun. How about dropping a .22 magnum mini-revolver in a front pocket and also carry a pistol in an ankle holster under your jean leg? I mean you're not likely going to be on one side of the river fighting off an ambush from the other bank. More like right in your face at the gas pumps, hmm?

Of course they are.

Aced it also. Quizzes are good to keep the mind sharp and to make sure we know U.S. history.

Do you have anyone in particular that you favor O Wise Monk?
That’s about it so far… but it’s too early to tell. Now, for the people I don’t want it’s all too easy; no Jeb, Huckabee or Carly. Paul and Rubio have damaged themselves IMO. I don’t know if they can recover.
Not sure yet Maggiepie. I agree with thumper that it's too early to tell.
I'm waiting to see who else puts his hat into the ring.
You should read the Buzzfeed interview with her Father. I don't think we should take away his citizenship at all. He loves America and disowned his daughter. He's terrified that people in his community will blame him and treat him like a radical IsIamist.

The Monk. History tends to repeat itself ever 50 to 70 years.

Believe it or not, those tiny houses sell for $30,000+.
Wow! I mean to say like WOW WOW/ looks like a week end with the right wood and you could make one.
only for stupid liberals…you can buy a shed and outfit it completely for under $7000. I had a 12 X16 amish built cabin that I got for $4000, nice log siding and a loft. I did the inside up for less than $3000, including sink, cabinets, laminate flooring, etc… And that is bigger than those micro houses they are pushing
Thanks for the set up.
I smell (no, not just Obiden's old man smell mixed with Old Spice) obfuscation. Didn't Shrillary just have a private meeting with Obummer? Obiden's lead in this is likely a set up with two planned outcomes. One he gets to be Obummer's fall guy when this goes south, as it surely will. Or two, Shrillary gets to hang this around Obiden's neck if he decides to run for President. Your guess is as good as mine, as which player initiated the deal. But knowing these two, can there really be any doubt whether they are capable of stabbing one of their own in the back like that?
Finally! Out of all these comments, ONE person with enough backbone and decisive skills to simply say "yes". I'm the second.
Remember the second "Back to the Future" movie? Small changes to the timeline could cause a huge ripple effect. Killing Hitler in the1920's before the Nazis came into power might have made Stalin into the dictator set on conquering Europe, and World war II may still have happened, but with worse consequences. If the U.S. were to have stayed out of the war, we would have had no incentive to develop a wartime economy to pull us out of the Depression. The Jim Crow era might not have ended in the 1960's, but still be alive. The electronic and digital revolution might never have happened. Also, like many of you out there, I would not be here, because my mother, who was a war bride, would never have met my father.
Are you trying to say NO but don't know how?
DZ makes a valid point, though. What if by killing Hitler the future you come back to is far worse than the one you left? And of course there's the potential paradoxes. As he points out, it might result in his parents never meeting, a paradox. What if you kill Hitler only to find out that led to Stalin taking over the world? Obviously Hitler was awful, nobody's arguing against that, but changing the past so drastically is something that would have to be very carefully considered.
No need. He already is dead.

BREAKING @Barbara Lee. We are in the process of climate change. This is Spring when many produce items are planted. Then comes Summer when those crops become abundant to take us through the next climate changes of Fall and Winter. The earth is continuously going through climate change, so STFU.
