  very sad… he was one of my heroes… when I would whine and moan about doing my little running gig in the morning, I would think of him being born without legs and making it to the Olympics, and it would help me get my lazy butt out the door. sheesh.

  Again, a life changing moment… I “pulled a Glenn” many times during this monologue, especially when I realized our society is already there, already past the point of man/machine integration. When a baby cries at the store, does the mom or dad pick the little one up and soothe and cuddle him? Nope… hand him the i-phone and little one is “comforted.” Wow… maybe “going all Amish” isn’t such a bad idea…

  So… out here in the wild west we have 100mph winds and a foot of snow in less than 24 hours… power out all over the place… trees down… but I have noticed it doesn’t count until it hits the Northeast… bunch of wimps… it’s winter for crying out loud!

  Agreed, 1776! Out here in the middle of nowhere, we help each other, feed each other, and pray for each other. Each person in our tiny town matters. And, American farmers feed the world! Small town America is doing just fine, thank you very much… just leave us the h*LL alone.
