Austerity is just another code word for the left. Of course, no one wants austerity. They are trying to make it sound so bad that by comparison, we will accept continued tax & spend, borrow & spend, policies to prop up a consumption-driven economy. That is destined to fail.

Sooner or later, you have to produce something of value – that is how wealth and successful economies operate. Sooner or later, you run out of other people’s money as well – China doesn’t want to buy our sorry IOUs anymore.

The writer’s points are fair ones, but I don’t think you’re going to see some type of electoral nightmare – i.e, we won’t be up at 2 am wondering who are next president is.

Let’s say, for example, New Hampshire goes Obama early in the evening. Well, that’s a bad omen. Romney’s chances of losing NH, but winning Ohio, Wisconsin, and Iowa are very very low.

If Romney wins NH, NC, VA, and Fla early in the evening, plus a stray electoral vote in Maine. Go on to bed, Romney’s president.

Why Osteen wants to go on that show, I’ll never know. Osteen surrounded himself with “true believers” of a different kind – CNN is a cesspool of far-left radicals. I don’t see the point – he’s actually helping their ratings by going on the show. I think conservatives should generally avoid that place….let them wallow in their anger and extremely low ratings.

Sorry for his family and friends. But I have to say….no way I go onto any trail where grizzlies are known to hang out, unless I’m packing a 12 gauge shotgun. There’s a reason for the expression, “Loaded for bear.”

Bears generally stay away from humans, but…things happen. They are, after all, animals. If they’re hungry enough…fuhgettaboutit!
