  I called Sen. Collin’s office before the vote to tell her that a “Yes” vote would mean a loss of support from a good number of constituents. I had the pleasure of calling her back today to congratulate her on successfully turning her back on her base for a failed bill.

  I agree Maine has become more liberal in recent years but there has been NO new gun restrictions passed. In fact, Maine recently (last week), held a hearing to allow constitutional carry. We are an “open carry” state as well as a “shall issue” state. Maine has its problems but overall is firearm friendly. We have our share of ******** here but we also have a VERY high percentage of our citizens who are gun owners.

  I grew up in northern Maine. We all carried a pocket knife and half of us had a deer rifle in the gun rack of our trucks… Its a flippin miracle that we survived.

  Libs are already saying “thankfully this is a gun free zone or students would be dead, not just injured.” “Yay for gun laws.” Ive even heard claims that this was a Tea- Party set up to prove a point. WTH is wrong with these fools?

  The libs are already saying “good thing this was a gun free zone, or we’d have a bunch of dead students instead of injured.” As if this guy wouldn’t have used a gun if he could get one and do real damage. When is this country going to wake up and realize that there will always be evil people and no amount of legislation can deter it.

  I saw a newspaper headline yesterday that said “Former LAPD GUN NUT dies in cabin fire.” Hes labeled as a gun nut.. Not a lib. Not someone who agrees with Obummer. His “manifesto” trashes Wayne LaPierre and the NRA but somehow our news media still tries to paint this murderer as a conservative. I guess anything goes when theres an agenda to be followed.

  Some on the left are saying that Dorner was taken out by the LAPD because he made allegations of corruption; and should be applauded. Then, they claim, he was set ablaze as a cover-up. I wonder if these are the same idiots who say “anyone who keeps guns to guard against a tyranical govt. is paranoid?” Which is it lefties?
