In the 17th Century an English missionary by the name of Winfrid was the first person to use the evergreen tree as a symbol for God. Winfrid, who later became Saint Boniface, used the tree as an object lesson that the triangle shape represented the trinity. Yes I know it has been used in other cultures for other things. I was simply responding to Yuuper’s statement that it doesn’t have anything to do with Christ. Because as a Christian it does have meaning.

FYI: The Christmas Tree represents the trinity. God the father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The trunk of the tree represents the cross.
