  • Bravo!

  • Sirota is a clueless hack. I won’t waste me time criticizing this idiot.

  • Have always disliked this little twink. Have not watched a single play of the NFL since the Broncos traded Tebow*. Will continue to do the same.

    * Didn’t blame Denver for doing so. It’s their team not mine, but boy were they exciting when he was around. I live near Denver (Dentroit).

  • I am SO glad I’m not you.

  • Funny video.

Odd that people reacted that way. I think I would have walked to the “body” and tried to put it back into a respectable postion and tried to close the coffin. We were all born and we are all going to die.

I think when the actor walked out of the coffin I would have been pulling the cotton out of his nose and saying “holy cr*p, you’re alive”.

I guess my attitude comes from my grandmother who I was very close to (the greatest generation) who was a beautician. She had her own shop. As she aged, so did her clientele. Until the point that most of them died off. She didn’t back down and started doing more work post-mortem. It didn’t bother her. They were her friends. To quote “The Lion King” or whatever it was, it is the circle of life.

    God, I miss her.

  • Oops, should have been One Second After…

  • CHIEFGEORGE is correct. Everything would stop immediately. No broadcasting, no internet, your watch would probably stop. Also almost all vehicles (including airplanes in flight), all businesses, all refrigeration, everything electronic would permanently, instantly quit working.

The “One Day After” book is an interesting read. At least the first 2/3′s of it. After that it descends into the standard doomsday novel with militia building, UN world takeover, etc. The first novel you read about that is OK, then it gets really repetitive.

I would recommend the One Day After book though, It is very enlightening on what would happen in an EMP event. I’m kind of a prepper and thought I could manage most anything outside of some global nuclear event. Now I’m not so sure, and not sure I would want to.

You can make a faraday cage out of a metal trash can and a cardboard box inside. But I really can’t see the benefit of an electronic device when no one else has one.

Read the book though. It is an eye opener. A large solar eruption could have the same exact effect as the high-altitude nuclear explosion in the novel.

Where I live (Denver area) there is a radio talk show host. His name is Michael Brown (of “Brownie, you’re doing a great job” fame during Katrina). While he worked for the Federal govt he was charged with writing a study about an EMP threat. This was many years ago. The threat is real (it is not some way-out – SciFi theory) and would be devastating.

  • For the people mentioning underground area at the Denver airport -

The airport authority paid a German firm to design and install an elaborate baggage handling system. It was to move baggage at 90/mph. The airport occupies a large physical space. The system was a giant failure. Was shredding luggage left and right. It was taken out of service and never worked correctly. That is why there is the underground structure.

Jesse Ventura and others have said it is a connection to NORAD. That’s ridiculous. If the govt wanted to build something like that there are many locations much, much closer to NORAD (Cheyenne Mountain, west of Colorado Springs).

  • I’ve been miserable for a week now. To paraphrase the frankenbeast, “for the first time in my life, I’m genuinely concerned about the future of my country”.

When I received the following it was the first time I’ve smiled in seven days:

    Dear Friend,

I’m passing this on because it worked for me after viewing the Election results!

A doctor on TV said that in order to have inner peace in our lives, we should always finish things that we start. Since we all could use more calm in our lives, I looked around my house to find things I’d started & hadn’t finished.

I finished a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of B&B, a butle of wum, tha mainder of Valiuminun scriptins, an a box a choclutz. Yu has no idr how fablus I feel rite now.

Sned this to all ur frenz who need inner peeze. An telum u luvum.

  • I noticed that too. Kinda ruined the whole video.
