How does being to young for death row translate to being released? She should spend the rest of her life in jail. She didn’t just murder Mrs. Pelke, she butchered her, stabbing her 33 times. And human rights activists are upset about the death penalty for Cooper? What about Mrs.Pelke’s rights? Between this story and the vandalism victim in New York being charged, I’m having trouble believing I still live in the USA.

No what’s illogical is to accept illegal immigration. How can millions of people pouring into the country, working under the table, not paying income tax and then using the roads, schools and hospitals be good for any country? All of my great-grand parents immigrated here LEGALLY. They did not cut in line, they did NOT BREAK THE LAW. And more recently, my brother & sister-in-law paid thousands of dollars for my sister-in-law to immigrate here LEGALLY. We are a nation of laws – if you don’t want to follow those laws then stay home. If they broke into your house and started living in your garage would you welcome them or call the cops?

Maybe all the deported fathers should have tried immigrating legally the way all of my great-grand parents did. We are a nation of laws – and when you break the law there are consequences.

If Katelyn Hunt was Kevin Hunt would there be a “Free Kevin” campaign? I doubt it. As an 18 year old, Katelyn should have respected the Smith’s wishes and stayed away from their daughter. And the Hunt’s should have told their daughter to respect the Smith’s wishes. Again, if Kate was Kevin, this would be a completely different story.

“Are you offended by Paisley’s new song?” No I’m not offended, but I’m also a middle aged white woman. I do think that this song is an opportunity to have a real dialogue in the country that has become overly PC. Maybe we can have a history lesson too. You now like how it was the Republican party that freed the slaves. And the KKK was the enforcement arm of the Democrat party. In fact, the record for the longest filibuster is held by the late Senator Byrd, who filibuster against the voting rights act and was in charge of recruitment for W.VA’s KKK. Oh, but He had to join, according to Bill Clinton, in order to get elected in his district. I think actions speak louder than words. Senator Byrd’s actions spoke volumes. To me that is offensive.

Last time I checked I didn’t vote for anyone in AFL-CIO or the Chamber of Commerce. Why are they making deals that affect immigration? Not to mention that their deal doesn’t really address illegal immigration. I’m sorry but my family immigrated to America legally. Why would we reward those who have broken our laws. I understand wanting better for your children, that’s why my great-grandparents came here from Italy & Ireland to realize the American dream. But they did it legally. And since 9/11 it have become more important than ever to know who is in the country. Not sure of how to fix the illegal immigrant problem, but letting them stay without consequence is not the answer. Neither is any deal involving Richard Trumpka.

I don’t care if she weighs 50 lbs., 80lbs, or 100 lbs. the punishment for “accidentally” erasing a name was excessive. As a parent, I would be angry too. She deserved to be held accountable for erasing the name from the board, but she does not deserve to be injured. Why not detention? Oh, that’s right, teachers don’t want the hassle of staying after.

Amazing. This man’s failure to pass a budget in 4years is the reason for sequestration. And his implications that this horrible accident is a result of budgets cuts!!! He should be impeached.
