Rand Paul for President: Is Rand Paul Using His Father’s Campaign to Lay the Groundwork for 2016?
May 3, 2012 at 6:21pm
Read today he is launching a campaign to end the TSA. My big question is – why isn’t Romney talking about this? And, why hasn’t anyone else had the courage to stop the TSA? I wish Rand had run instead of Ron. Rand should be the VP – at least he hasn’t appointed a Sharia judge, doesn’t have any eligibility problems, isn’t embarrassed by problematic “Family Values” discussions, etc.

Unfortunate Report for New Grads (and Their Parents): 1 in 2 Either Unemployed or Underemployed
April 23, 2012 at 9:19am
I sympathize greatly with you and others in your age group. I know some wonderful young men who graduated college, secured a job and then lost it due to downsizing. Even though they have a degree and some years of experience, they are reduced to working in stores(really crummy, bad paying jobs) just to try to feed their kids. It is NOT their fault! And, what does anyone think is going to happen to all of troops when they return home to this job market? Shall we all mock them for their stupidity in signing up for military service? Presumably, most of them voted Republican, so we won’t be able to mock them for their voting habits.

From Roper Center For Public Opinion Archives:
Who Voted For Obama (Breakdown by Age)
18-29 years – 66%
30-34 years – 52%
45-64 years – 50%
65 & up – 45%
Seems like plenty of older people who weren’t in college voted for Obama too.

Funny, I don’t remember ever reading history books in which the unemployed during the Great Depression were mocked and taunted due to the fact that they had been fools and voted for the wrong president or that they were idiots for earning the wrong type of college degree. This country is on it’s way to a major depression. And plenty more people, even those in supposedly secure jobs, are going to find out how difficult it is to get a job.

Agreed, not everyone should be in college. And, many don’t want to be there. But, it is not the fault of any kid today that America has lost so many factory jobs.
Sending jobs overseas is just another way to spread the wealth. Colleges will change when people change. The immediate problem is not colleges. The immediate problem is cutting government spending and regulation so American business can compete and thrive and create more non-government jobs. What do our presidential candidates have to say about this?
