It is much more likely his unarmed family will become victims as opposed to armed NRA families. Logic does not matter to the emotionally driven elitists that have replaced critical thinking with the supposed morally superior “we are the elite and we are here to save the world from armed ignorant knuckle dragging rednecks.” Unintelligent = anyone that does not think like a progressive elitist. They are the arbiters of good and evil and consider their pronouncements as the unquestionable settled truth. Any that do not agree should be murdered according to this idiot.

@voice the progressive’s problem is that they see the entire planet needing to be saved by the US. Very arrogant and elitist. The reason many countries despise us is because of this. They see themselves as the arbiter of global social justice to save those poor savages from themselves. I see examples of this all the time.

A plane full of celebs and bleeding heart progressive CEO’s jet to Africa to save them by building a well, getting a photo op, then jetting back to the US to assuage their collective guilt. Is this moral? It indicates a lack of understanding by putting bandaids on the problem and actually feeding the cancer.
Hint: The population of Africa is the fastest growing on the planet. As many of the African cultures are agrarian, they believe in larger families to cultivate the land. This is natural. At the end of the day no matter what good these bleeding hearts do, it is not for the good of the African people, but for the selfish guilt of their elitist souls. Hello Africa! We elitist celebrities have come to save you ignorant savages!

I agree. The chaff of lies must be winnowed from the facts of truth, and criminals held accountable. Many in high places get away with evil because their is no law forbidding their actions or they exploit loopholes that both parties ensure remain in the law.

The people are victims of a malignant form a capitalism. The answer is not the poison pill of socialism as the appeal to emotion of low information sheeple are led to believe.

The solution is not an easy one: The patient has an extensive cancerous tumor that if removed all at once will kill the patient. This must be done over time and in phases. But where to find the right surgeon?

“Abramoff lobbied DeLay to stop legislation banning sex shops and sweatshops that forced employees to have abortions in the Northern Mariana Islands”

You must think readers here are stupid or driven by pure emotion, such as yourself. There are two issues on the same bill: In order to push through a bill that would be dead on arrival, you tack on an emotional cause such as banning sex shops in order to gain support from people like you that are blinded by emotion. I am sure that if the bill did pass, the newly unemployed sweatshop workers will thank you for your elitist interference to “save” them.

Bill Maher’s comment is proof of his delusional beliefs. Does he not know that throughout US history the majority of wars have been started by liberals that wish to fundamentally change the world??

    1. Vietnam – President Kennedy orders 100 “special forces” troops to S. Vietnam
    2. United States occupation of the Dominican Republic (1965–66) – Lyndon B. Johnson
    3. El Salvador – Jimmy Carter
    4. Sinai – Reagan (UN Multinational peacekeeping force)
    5. Lebanon – Reagan (UN Multinational peacekeeping force)
    6. Grenada. Operation Urgent Fury – Reagan (Liberate US medical students)
    7. Iraq and Kuwait. Operation Desert Storm – H.W. Bush
    8. Bosnia and Herzegovina: Operation Provide Promise UN Mission – H.W.Bush (his last year)Mainly Bill Clinton.
    9. Somalia. Operation Restore Hope – Bill Clinton
    10. Bosnia. Operation Deny Flight – Bill Clinton

    21. Syria – Obama?

Yep. It’s clear them war mongering repubs have been out of control.

Question: How do politicians like Angela Giron and Hank “Guam will tip over with too many marines” Johnson get elected? Should there by a mechanism for immediate removal from office if it is determined they have the IQ of a beet?

Should they have more knowledge of the rights they want to destroy? They have no clue of the key functional differences between firearms beyond “you can convert a shooty thingy into a stabby thingy by attaching the stabby thingy to the end of the shooty thingy.”

The federal government develops it’s most oppressive and outrageous policies within the military’s captive audience. We send them to war with firearms to kill the enemy yet our soldiers are not to be trusted with them on military bases. Military service members are the lab rats of progressive social policy.

Do not be fooled that the sequester was the reason for the Naval Yard security failure. It is the established fact that military installations are the nation’s largest gun-free zones. Had these federal employees been allowed to concealed carry, a man with a shotgun would be lucky to get off a second shot. There is no security policy that could possibly stop a determined maniac more effectively than allowing these employees to carry sidearms.

Ask yourself why psychopaths choose the targets and locations they do. The one thing most all of them have in common is that they chose targets and locations that ensure a high degree for mass destruction and the least amount of risk. #()$*&(#@ media would never consider this critical truth regarding the pathology of target selection by mass murderers. I dare any so called expert to prove me wrong on this.

    1. Aurora shooting: Gun fee theater. He avoided the closer theaters that did not ban guns.
    2. Sandy Hook: Gun free zone
    3. Columbine: Gun free zone
    4. Naval Yard: Gun free zone
    5. All other school ground killings: Gun free zones

If you arm a security guard at each school, it will not matter. A maniac would take th

Much like letting Obama drive the country and our foreign policy. What were the majority thinking? Even then, Toonces would have been a better driver.

And military installations are the largest gun free zones as well. The only armed forces on military installations are a small group of security police. Ammo Supply Points have armed guards as well, but they are remote from the main bases. All arms and weapons systems are behind lock and key. Service members are forbidden from transporting firearms onto many military bases with San Diego Navy bases being a prime example. Access to many military installations is easily evaded. Pizza delivery is allowed to deliver on base as well as many other delivery services. So much for base security!

“you are as guilty as they are for spreading gossip” Seriously? You know well enough that my comments are based on the story being presented by the media. My assessment is based on this and I make no false representations regarding the identical narratives being reported by EVERY media source. Exactly what did I misrepresent? It is a common held belief that ALL early reporting is a race to get the story out and much of the info is in error.

Next time I will preface the comment for the low info folks: “If what has been reported is accurate, here is my personal opinion and commentary.” Happy now?

Captain Crunch, back in the early 90′s a group of gang bangers paid a 2:00 AM visit to the National Training Center, Ft Irwin, CA. They new we had no live ammo and only blanks. Entering from a desert access road, they intercepted an infantry squad and held them at gun point, seizing their weapons, night vision devices, and radios. This incident was never reported to the media and happened during my rotation through the facility. The leadership of all units currently training were notified of the incident, yet no actions were taken to prevent it from happening again in the future.

“reduce gun violence in this country through executive action” Since when did we replace the office of president with a monarchy? He has been doing this since becoming president which indicates that we have a king in office. Congress has no power whatsoever. The king picks and chooses the existing laws that are to be enforced or disregarded. He allocates the kings treasure and positions office to his loyal subjects that have earned it. The sweat of your labor is tribute to the king paid in taxes. Because the king knows when we all hurt economically and sense no end to it, he takes action to prevent challenges to his power in the form of a peasant rebellion. Being an astute student of Machiavellian leadership, the king will target a small group and make an unmerciful example of them to those that would even think of challenging the king’s right to power.

State officials FORBID enforcement of immigration laws regarding illega…I mean undocume…..doooh…I actually mean immigrants. They avoid contact with these “immigrants” as they do not want to appear racist profilers. Social justice dictates that it’s morally superior to go after unlicensed racist Caucasians as they take away work from the financially disadvantaged “immigrants” through their illegal activities.

    chips1. Good one!
I won’t have to recant though as my comments reflected only what I knew at the moment from what is reported by the news with the assumption that what is being reported is loosely accurate. Then I move on to what is clear rationale speculation on my part. Only time will tell if the true motive is released accurately, spun and then released, or buried if it makes the current administration look bad.

As a retired combat leader, many that comment here that were and are similarly trained would acknowledge how we fight regarding small unit tactics and the mission types they train for. The fact that there are multiple shooters of what appears to be different races in cammo combat uniform and arms raise an immediate red flag. What is their common bond? Religion? Political ideology? Hopefully we will find out in due time and not before then.

“This is so unusual, because this is such a heavily-secured military facility.” Access badges badges do not stop bullets. There is only a token physical security force that mans the gates and some building access. A moron can neutralize them.

  • September 16, 2013 at 2:12pm

Military bases are the nations largest gun-free zones. With just basic knowledge of a base, a well armed company sized unit could neutralize base physical security elements. There is nothing beyond the skeleton force of base security to stop one from accessing serious weapons of mass destruction to include ground to air missile systems and all other ordinance. I feel safe.

To access a military base, you go on the day they open it to the public: Usually during celebrations, air shows, etc..

How many unarmed warriors can a mad man kill before the overweight federal police slobs respond? Maj Nadal Hassan was not a combat warrior. If he had been, there would have been many more casualties. Remember that it is against regulation for our off duty warriors to be armed on military bases.

This attack on the Naval Shipyard will illustrate that our military bases are EXTREMELY vulnerable to attack and probability of success is very high.

Ft Irwin, CA: years ago, gang members from LA infiltrated and disarmed soldiers training in the desert. They knew the units training there have no live ammo and use blanks only. This incident was kept from the press and to my knowledge the weapons were never recovered.

Need guns? Take them from training soldiers! What kind of systems can you take? AR’s, 50 cal, grenade launchers, anti armor systems, body armor, latest night vision, etc.. Just like the did in Libya.

  • September 16, 2013 at 1:53pm

    What we know:

    Multiple shooters:
-Knew the base layout, had specific targets
    -Wore military garb
    -Armed with AR’s

    The target:

-Soft target lightly defended by typical very limited force of federal police and possibly military security: Their mission is physical security.
-Military bases are lightly protected. Service members are trusted to kill the enemy and are well armed and equipped for this mission, but only when deployed to a combat zone. When they are back on home base, they become like all other unarmed victims in that firearms are all secured separately from ammo which is miles away in ammo dumps. It would take hours to stage weapons and ammo in response to a direct attack on a military base once the lightly armed military and federal police response is neutralized.

-The majority of military installations are nothing but mega-gun free zones. Soldiers are not trusted with firearms when not deployed to combat zones.

Commando units typically target lightly defended logistics, communications, and C2 sites. This could be the reason for targeting this facility.

    What this is not:

-White supremest group: Shooters are both black and white

So what could this be? Cammo uniforms, AR’s, planned attack that successfully evaded access security checkpoints, and had knowledge of the base. This in my estimation will be like nothing we have seen before regarding the intent of this group.

zantimisfit, I checked out the link you provided and can say I like the cut of his jib! I live in SoCal, but travel to our corporate office in Chicago regularly. I can relate to the abject failure of gun control in Chicago and all of Cook county. Chicago prefers defenseless victims and obviously must prefer armed thugs regarding their inability to stop gang homicides by using “Safe Passage” signs to indicate that homicides, assaults, robberies and rapes are prohibited along these routes. Unfortunately, if the thugs could read, it could get worse as they discover these signs tend to coral victims along a known path making them easy pickings.

Our Commander in Chief has replaced all executive military leadership with those cut from the same cloth that he wears. Gen Dempsey deserves not respect, but the back of my hand. The same with Chuck Hagel. We will throw our highly trained openly gay soldier at the enemy to strike fear in them. We will also send in our women ahead of the main battle force as members of the new, total equality elite tier on forces that our leaders guarantee are “just as physically capable” as any male warrior. Need I say a damn thing more regarding these lapdog’s ability to please their master at the expense of combat readiness? I count the days until their commands are ripped from their unworthy hands.

Obama leads by consensus. He ensures he has low level operative scapegoats to pin any failure on. Has he taken responsibility for ANYTHING that has gone wrong on his watch?

To summarize in the most way I can: Obama is the cruise ship captain on the lifeboat leaving the sinking ship full of passengers. Am I wrong?
