It’s 100 degrees here in Texas. Where do you live that it’s cold??!

That’s funny — I have a very similar reaction when I hear John McCain speaking, too.

How do you separate enterprise and capitalism? Isn’t free enterprise the cornerstone of capitalism? You say that “enterprise deals with businesses pursuing self-interest and profits,” but don’t Wall Street’s “self-interest and profits” in free enterprise benefit others by providing capital and jobs?

I was trying to note that Zogby results should be taken with a grain of salt, not commenting on Herman Cain as a leader of the pack. Hope this clarifies!
Thanks for your feedback!

I read your post & I appreciate your feedback. I’m glad the topic is generating discussion — that’s what the blog is meant to do!
I think some things were lost in translation (i.e. I’m not blaming kids for the condition of the modern family, etc.), but I still believe that justifying such behavior is wrong. At some point there has to be a right and a wrong, and I don’t think we should confuse having forgiveness and compassion with excusing inexcusable behavior.

I wondered if anyone might think I meant “flounder” instead of “founder.” I used “founder” on purpose because I was literally thinking of a sinking ship, but I’ve changed it to “flounder” to avoid any confusion. Thanks for your note!
