We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.

So simple redistribution of wealth via taxes (aka subsidies) doesn’t actually bring down costs? Who would have guessed…………….

Warning shots should always be fired horizontally and towards the attacker – preferably with 00 or PDX “blanks”

Gee on Amazon it ranks #5, Hard Choices (which I see Costco did not pull) is #98. It’s also mysteriously off the NY times list which it would have made.

Sad but true….many countries are, in practical terms, freer than the US. The sad part is it appears a majority (not all, but a majority) are more than happy to forgo freedom (and the personal responsibility associated with freedom) in exchange for more Government intrusion under the guise of support. The ruling elite are more than willing to provide it too, in exchange all they want is some more of your freedom and your compliance.

Liberal La La Land…..here’s a hint….pretty much stay away from any city with populations greater than 250,000 and avoid living within 100 miles of either coast.

But I am really sad with all the laws since I lost my firearms in a tragic South Dakota deep sea fishing accident…..

Thanks to this, common core, TSA, NSA, the police state (DHS MRAPs/M4s to police program), ACA our children’s children will be completely indoctrinated and good, little compliant, some what educated, sheeple…….I will stay on the watch list for secretly reading the US Constitution to my kids and telling them of their granparent’s and uncle’s journey through life in little places like Normandy, Iowa Jima, Okinawa, the Ardennes, Chosin…..

Sounds a lot like Feinstein and Boxer’s “The Pause for Safety Act” which would allow anyone at any time to seek a “firearms restraining order” against an individual to prevent them from purchasing any new firearms and also confiscate any firearms they may already own.

It’s just temporary confiscation…..sure….temporary…..meaning about $10,000 in legal fees, and even if overturned the police will drag their feet returning your own property….in the meantime they will etch a serial number onto it (for tracking purposes while in their custody), create a registry of ownership, and then generally allow the firearm to be thrown about and damaged “accidentally.”….. bet on having to go to court a second time to force the police to return your own property….

    If you can’t ban them…harass them…

The UN, the world’s Democracy of Dictators, is not a sovereign state; has no legal authority in the US….why the Foxtrot would we care? One line message: “Pound Sand.”

If a majority of the constituents in each Representative’s district don’t want additional meaningless laws that only restrict the rights of law abiding citizens and the Representative’s follow the wishes of their constituents isn’t that the way a Republic is supposed to work?

This isn’t a Democracy. 8M people in NYC don’t get to decide what the people of WY need. There was reason for the structure originally set forth in the Constitution.

The House represents the people, The Senate (which should have stayed appointed by the State Legislatures) are supposed to represent their States. Nowhere in there is there anything about the voice of the political party.

That’s not what this is, it is (as quoted by Boxer) a bill is aimed at allowing anyone to seek court restrictions on other people’s gun ownership rights.

  • [1] June 7, 2014 at 9:04pm

So very f****ing American….no due process…just call up the cops and say “Bob has guns and I think he is going to use them” Police – no wait SWAT…because we know Bob has guns and is dangerous conduct a no-knock raiding….killing a few dogs in the process…take Bob’s guns….deface them (I mean they will have to engrave them for tracking while in evidence lockup)…while the Liberal courts drag their feet for months while Bob spends thousands of dollars trying to get his own property back yet committed no crime.

WTFO? This is really the America….no wait Amerika…the sheeple want? 1 in 6 on food stamps…1 in 5 on medicaid…all total 114 million living in households on some type of Government assistance…the Bloombergs, Obamas and Pelosi of the country forming the elite ruling class telling us what to do, what to eat for lunch, what light bulbs we can have, what toilets we can flush, what common core cr@p will keep our kids compliant little idiots…..

I wondered how long it would take Diane to come out.

Universal Background Checks – law in Colorado for about 10 months now – show private sales (which is what the UBC is aimed at) amounts to just 2% of total sales. AG Holder even admits the law is worthless with universal gun registration.

Of course Diane won’t ever admit more laws don’t work. For example in CA.

    - You need to have passed a gun course
    - You must register all handguns
    - There is a 10 day waiting period
    - You can only buy 1 gun / month and ammunition purchases are also limited
    - There is a magazine capacity limit (10 rounds)
    - There is an AWB and ban on 50 BMG rifles

How about we focus on what drugs these criminals were on and their side effects. 8% of children, 15% of adult males, 26% of adult women are estimated to be on some psychiatric drug. But of course the drug companies and their lobbyists are hand in hand with DC, so that will never happen. DC needs them to support ACA. DC doesn’t “need” the NRA. Which group will be vilified?

The did release a 2013 Report….unfortunately it did not support the left wing agenda…therefore we need new studies until they get then answer they want….

Still doesn’t matter nobody is touching any of my private property…..

    Here is it:

    (1) Felons
    (2) Gangs
    (3) Drugs

    Prevention

Remember the Constitution prohibits just “cruel and unusual” punishment. Let’s use all the means available.

    Where’s my $60MM
