  Skateboarding is a great sport in a controlled environment. Teen boys love it. It requires strength, endurance, perserverance, concentration and competition. All the things that need to be exercised in growing boys. The energy and testosterone used in developing the skill leaves little time and energy for drugs and other mayhem. Bravo to the Skateboarding Initiative!

  Pro “Cheerleaders” have nothing to do with football. In fact, most of them know very little about football, the team, or the city in which it’s played. They are aerobic instructors and ex-strippers. This young lady reflects an American icon of years gone by; when the cheerleader was considered the sweetest, friendliest, most outgoing and most wholesome girl(s) in the school. Granted, the young men of today are not interested in that; however, to many older men she is a fond memory of a more innocent time. She is a breath of fresh air!

  I have never met a woman that actuall LIKED getting a proposal in these elaborate, public stunts. Men continue to do it; and women continue to spare their boyfriends feelings and act like they appreciate it. They do not. Proposals of marriage are taken seriously by women. They do not want to be put in a position where they can not say “No”, even if the answer is “Yes”. Men continue to flaunt the occasion as a mere formality to a foregone conclusion. Over the years, as men continue to try to ‘out do’ each other; these ruses remain a most unfortunate; and often time embararrasing beginning to a possible happy marriage. If men really want to surprise women to their delight and his reward; invest the imagination, energy and money in the Honeymoon; which is truly the grooms role and responsibility.

  The most disturbing part of this story is that the coach was suspended for his “speech”. I can see where his supervisor would advise him to keep his opinions to himself; but SUSPENDED?! How many liberal, leftist, progressive, marxist teachers, coaches, counselors are there who consider it their job to indoctrinate children with their opionion? This man’s suspension is very scary for all of us.
