Sorry, Popp40 … the Speaker vote already happened. I spoke with one of Cruz’s staff in DC and he said the vote took place a couple weeks ago.

Yep … Joseph was required to go back to Bethlehem for the census … part of the prophecy of the birth of Christ.

And of course, the lone councilwoman supporter of this girl says her conviction was due to her name and the Duke lacrosse case. Yeah, right … as if everybody is going to remember it after all these years.

Very sad, indeed! My condolences to her family …

Impeachment? Yeah, right … neither side will do it. They don’t have the cajones to go down that road, especially after the Clinton fiasco.
Yes, conservatives picked up several seats in the Senate. In my opinion, it wasn’t enough. I would have felt much better if John Cornyn had been sent home. If McConnell gets in as Senate Majority Leader, as I believe he will, I have a strong feeling that it will be a mixture of “business as usual” sprinkled with a few conservative crumbs to satisfy the Tea Party voters. Nothing more than smoke & mirrors all over again.
Then again, I hope I am wrong.

jungle, yes, the image of Jesus would be unmistakable to His followers. Those who are non-believers will never recognize Him until it’s too late.

@jayco … yes, Eph. 6:10-14 (don’t forget verses 15-17) talks about the Armor of God.

I decided long ago not to make “judgment” calls on what others see or not see in things like this. However, if the man truly believes in what he saw, that is between him and God.
With that said, I am aware of, but not well-versed in what the scriptures tell me about spiritual discernment. Remember one thing: God cannot be mocked! Satan also has the power to use deceptive measures to make people see things that appear to be from God. After all, he lied to Adam & Eve about the fruit of the tree of life in the Garden of Eden, and they fell for it, thus creating the beginning of the sinful nature of mankind.
He also tempted the Lord Jesus Christ during his 40 days/40 nights in the desert … and lost! That in itself shows how powerful the spiritual wars between good and evil have been since the very beginning.
Guess there's really no way to know then. You have to die to find out.
Hey TXLady you got it!!!! I'd bet you're familiar with Eph 6:10-14 by reading your post!!
I too appreciate your assessment of this story. If a person cannot or will not come to God through what many of us would consider to be 'normal channels' like reading and believing what the Word has to say about the Lord, then who am I to dismiss out of hand some phenomenon He may wish to employ in order to get someone's attention.
The manifestation gift of Discerning of Spirits is woefully lacking in Christendom these days, and that I fear is because too many Christians have settled for feel good sermons and have no real intimate understanding and interaction with the Holy Spirit. How can one discern deception accurately if that same one is unfamiliar with the Genuine Article?

Oh how sad! :’( My condolences to Terry’s family and Fox Business network colleagues.

JQuentin – I suppose your so-called ‘spiritual discernment’ of this woman makes you feel superior in some way. The whole purpose behind repentance is to turn away from sin. Does that make Christians perfect? No – that is why Jesus Christ is our advocate before God on the day of judgment.
You, on the other hand, have much to learn about what that means.

Once again, we have the left twisting Biblical scriptures regarding marriage & divorce to justify their lust & demand for gay marriage. Sure, they know how to read the words, but they also know how to take them way out of context.

Amen, 808Patriot! Don’t forget that Eve was also chastised by God when she took the first bite from the forbidden fruit. She had her own punishment to bear; but you are correct in that pastors/elders/ministers do have a greater responsibility when it comes to their families and the churches that they lead.

Privacy? What privacy are you talking about? She’s the one who went public with her decision. And what purpose did it serve other than to say, “Look at me! I’ve got cancer. I can’t handle the pain, so I’m going to take my own life because the state of Oregon says I can!”
Then you attack those who disagree with it. Talk about hypocritical!
Do I feel bad that she has terminal cancer? Yes, I do! But I don’t think it’s right for anyone to “play God” with their lives. That is MY opinion! What she does with what’s left of her life IS her decision – and it’s between her, her family and God. She is the one who will have to stand before Him and answer for what she has done.
My grandmother taught me a valuable lesson while I was growing up:
“If you don’t want everybody to know what you’re doing all the time, then don’t share it with the world!”
One more thing … Hitler loved the practice of Euthanasia, especially on German citizens who were deemed “non-productive members of society.” Same with Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood.

@therationalone … I smell a kickback scheme between Boston Children’s, DPC and maybe the Boston P.D., and it stinks worse than a city dump.
I pray that someone has the cajones to help this family can get their daughter out of this alive.

Oh, paleeze … It’s quite obvious you have no clue what you’re talking about. There is a huge difference between police dogs and service dogs for private citizens.
I suggest you step away from the computer for awhile and get some fresh air!

Just the look on Holder’s face from the AP photo shows complete defiance!
