  • I used to say “pecker-wood” all the time; then one day my daughter pointed out that its a racial slur. I looked it up and sure enough, it was. I was stunned and embarrassed. Who knew??

“Maybe the Attorney could address the issue of Mr. Grisham carrying his AR 15 loaded, and in a hunting/tactical ready position, while walking down a public road. His stated purpose is to “combat, rattlesnakes, coyotes, and hogs. Does he have a valid hunting license? Is a license required to hunt/kill these animals?”

In answer to your question, No, an individual is not required to have a license to kill a wild hog, a rattlesnake, or coyotes. Rattlesnakes and coyotes are considered a menace, and if one approaches a human, or attacks the human, that human is entitled to protect themselves from it. Wild hogs, or wild boars in Texas are considered and invasive species. While one must have a license to hunt them for their meat, one may shoot to kill to protect oneself or one’s family members or livestock or even pets, if a wild boar attacks. Of the animals mentioned, the wild boars are the most likely to cause problems for humans, as coyotes and snakes will avoid humans.

Your statements are a bit silly. Mr. Grisham was not out hunting. He was out with his son working on an Eagle Scout badge. If he was hunting illegally, the police should have contacted the Texas Game Warden, who would have had the authority to arrest and prosecute Mr. Grisham on a legitimate poaching charge. This business of the Temple police, their charge is fairly spurious and not the sort of charge that warrants or allows the confiscation of Mr. Grisha

  • God gives, God takes away. “Prosperity Theology” is a dangerous thing. Look what it has caused among the Muslims, with their belief that all wealth/prosperity belongs to their Allah, and if non-muslims have it, that means they stole it, and should be punished.

  • Well said.
It irritates me to no end that Mr. Beck has made a point of saying none of this matters. Oh really? The rule of law by our Constitution does not matter? Applying the rule of Constitutional law to every person impartially, “high” or “low”, does not matter? Very disappointed in Mr. Beck.

  • I’d be laughing at the boots too hard to dance, I couldn’t catch my breath!
Once upon a medieval time ago, a similar trend began with pointy toed shoes, that curled and eventually, the men had to tie the tips to garters around their knees to hold them up off the floor. They wore bells on them, and it was thought the longer and more elaborate your toe-curls, the wealthier you were.
I still say, I wouldn’t be able to think they were wealthy, (I’d be wondering if there was some compensation going on) I’d be laughing too hard!

  • Home schooling for the win!

Of course they’ll outlaw it soon, but i won’t be giving up.

  • “…shall not be infringed.” means Shall not be infringed. No compromises.

  • Unfortunately, the Supreme Court has altered the meaning of the First Amendment, as progressives and liberals have needed it altered to silence God. What you read in the Constitution? Yeah, that’s not really what your First Amendment rights are anymore. The Supreme Court decided the First Amendment means that the fedgov gets to silence Christians and Jews and other religious people (unless they’re a protected class like Islamists) if they want to, and that speech against religion is protected. The part in there that says “or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” only applies if the Government you work for chooses to allow you to enjoy “free exercise”. Please note, the CONGRESS did not pass any law that limits the free exercise thereof, that was done by the Supreme Court. So the Constitution was not trampled. And if you believe that, I have a lakefront ski chalet right next to the lifts, in beautiful Death Valley, I’ll happily sell you.

    In reply to toomuchgovt.

Are you kidding? Dearborn, MI is known as “Little Baghdad”–sheriff, judges, police force. If they’re not Islamists, they owe Islamist leaders and officials big favors and hand them out generously. It’s like an Islamist Mafia has taken the place over.

  • That’s the idea. Now, their neighbors are to be looking at them askance, as though they are dangerous, unpredictable people. Their neighbors are supposed to be pressuring them to get rid of their firearms for the safety of the neighborhood. If they are good citizens, we all know they will give up their firearms and protect the children!!!
    What a crock of Bull.
This so-called “News”paper (propaganda rag) has done a couple of really deplorable things here.
First, highlighted which homes it is likely OK, to break into, because no one there has the means to stand up to you. Those non-firearms owners should feel really safe with that info out there.
Second, highlighted which homes to break into while unoccupied, to try and steal the firearms that are probably there, to use for nefarious purposes–or to pawn for your next fix.
Third, as OleFromMN points out, put the good, law abiding gun owners at risk for retaliation from their neighbors.
Whichever one of these you want to address, it boils down to that waste of ink making efforts to incite crime and panic. Anything happens, a single Christmas light bulb goes missing, they should be held accountable.
