The really big mistake by the military is to make martyrs of the Muslim Brotherhood.

And yet, it’s only Hollywood that made the pentagram out to be anything witchy, devilish, or remotely involved with evil. The Pennsylvania Dutch used it as a Hex sign, to ward off the evil eye, as do many cultures. Outside of that, it’s mostly seen worldwide as the easiest depiction of a star that even children can draw.

Most of the houses I’ve lived in have been haunted, so it’s not difficult for me to relate to this sort of thing. Can’t wait to see the movie. The house I’m in now is totally vibeless and unhaunted, or it would be harder to go to the movie, though.

My first post in answer to “The Pointy End” was a bit muddy, so it may not have been clear that in the first part, when mentioning what someone said, I was referring to someone other than “The Point End.” The second part, when it became personal, the reference was to the comments Pointy made, which he presumably thinks only go to show how well he follows the teachings of the Christ. Ergo, when Pointy looks into a mirror, he must be thinking the following about Pointy HIMSELF. Right?
” Pointy worships the G-d of vogue, pro-abortion, pro-gay, global warming, Jesus taught social justice, etc. He does not know the true G-d of the bible.
Pointy is breaking the first commandment by creating a false god, “You shall have no other gods before me.”
Then breaking the third commandment by claiming this false god to be Jehovah of the bible, and giving this false god His name. “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain”

Seems to me that someone once said things like, “Judge not lest you be judged,” and “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.” It seems to me that same person also said something along the lines of, “I bring you a New Covenant,” and, “Love your brother like you love yourself.” Now seriously: if those are the things you say to your reflection in the mirror every morning, you need to do some work on self-esteem. Nevertheless, even if that’s the way you feel about yourself, and that’s the best you can love yourself, it doesn’t mean anyone else bears the slightest resemblance to you.

Actually, BCE means BC to you.

The only real question I have, speaking of rap, is this: why is the “N” word “over the line,” but calling women ” Ho’s” is just fine? It’s OK to be a misogynist, as long as you’re not racist?

Good heavens above! The only correct response to a gift — any gift — is “Thank You!” However, in the end it’s the thought that counts, and there was obviously a lot of thought that went into this gift, which makes it all the more precious and special. Bride 1 and Bride 2 have a whole lot of “gimme” and apparently, no love at all between the both of them. That’s going to be one short lived marriage. The minute either is a dollar short, the other will be out the door.

20/20 hindsight from a back seat driver. Now there’s a first. Oh. Maybe not a first.

One hopes the poor soul can finally sleep. What a nightmare life can be, and what an endless one for those who keep their terrible secrets.

It may well be a religion of peace. That doesn’t mean that everyone who is a Muslim is a person of peace — any more than everyone who calls themselves a Christian is a person of peace.

Waiting for all the facts to come in is a good idea. Me, I’m more shocked at the intolerance and bigotry on both sides of the arguments and commentary than at anything else. Hasn’t anyone learned anything yet?

How many people do YOU know who have actually read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?

Just what we need: a Brit revising the U.S. Constitution. They’re STILL trying to do this after all these years?

Try thinking back to the recent hoopla at Penn State, and maybe you’ll get what the problem is with a picture of a grown man hugging a half naked child…

My guess is that Benjamin Franklin was right again, and his lightning rod was indeed a most useful invention. ‘Tis better to have lightning strike a lightning rod, than to have it burn down all of St. Peter’s, IMOHO.

Have said it before, so will say it again: Who are these people, and what are they doing in Glenn Beck’s living room? Don’t any actual Beck fans ever post on The Blaze?

Now now. Can’t we all just get along?

Actually, it’s the other way around: the left hand is considered unclean, and would not be used for eating. It is an insult to offer something with your left hand. And if you are living as a desert nomad, toilet paper may not be available at the local sand dune.

Looks like an old style Hollywood movie costume to me.
