  With respect to VerySeniorCitizen’s $30,000 a year, family of four example, I believe this is simply making the case that being in poverty is no fun! Thus, the incentive to stay in school and get married before having children, in order to stay OUT of abject and completely *avoidable* poverty to begin with. Obviously a 9% tax is tougher for super-low wage earners than for wealthier families. But once the Socialist shackles have been removed from the economy, there will be enough jobs so that *both* adults in the family can work (as in my family and millions of others). And for the truly disabled or elderly, there will continue to be Gov’t programs and private charities; assuming the Dem-Socialists don’t completely bankrupt us first…

  Honestly – at what point does the warped, delusional thinking evident among WS protesters simply cross over into full-blown mental illness?? e.g. demanding “Freedom” by calling for all-powerful Government. But this is their goal: make ‘good’ to be ‘bad’ and make insanity the new normal.

  REAL solutions are “sustainable” (this should excite Greenies) in a Free Market. And IF Solyndra’s solar cell design (tube vs. panel) was less dependent on orientation (toward the sun) and cooler (more efficient), great! But let the market set the correct PRICE (hint: until you get a profit…) and you won’t need crony-Gov-handouts to keep the doors open…
