  Courage by any other measure is still the gold standard for repair of our society. These souls stepped up; we will see who is left when the bad guys strike back at well meaning freedom lovers. Will any others have the guts to stand in the gap.I say may the Lord bless the work of their hands and add to their number. There is strength in numbers.

  I got so upset reading this story and then the comments that I logged out not wanting to be the 160th person to say something. I read thru the various comments and decided that I owe it to this young hero to speak my mind. The comment was sent to the “Building Hope For Bailey Facebook page” saying “Bailey has been the strongest boy I know….there just wasn’t a way way to fix this”; plus the event was recorded on school cameras.This is total BS!!! This is like the story of the nurse who wouldn’t give CPR to the elderly woman who was dieing. What do you mean there wasn’t a way to fix this. I can think of a dozen things that could have saved this boy’s life. What have we as a society come to that we are paralyzed by the brutish behavior of a child bully?? What happened to the creativity of the parents or other adult friends of the family that they couldn’t think of something that could be done to help this situation. In the wisdom of the “leaders” of the school they have sent in counselors to help the rest of the kids learn how to swallow this outrageous offense and prepare them to be understanding victims with their parents!! This story is a tragedy not just for the Bailey boy but it has the makings of a tradgedy for this school and for the town. Every one who commented on this story should be beside themselves that this happened at all; regardless of the colors of skin involved instead of justifying the statement that “there just wasn’t a way to fix this” Shame

  “PTSD” has been used to describe the condition of the persons brain,thinking and perception ability after a traumatic experience or period of traumatic experience overwhelms the persons ability to perform human functions in a non threatening enviornment. Unless the accused was in the habit of killing freindlys while serving overseas, I don’t see it as a justification for killing the person who could help you: by shooting them from behind? My understanding of of the PTSD experience is a revisiting of previous experiences and feeling as though you have been returned to a condition where your life is in jeopardy, and you respond accordingly, sometimes violently. Here is my concern: first PTSD can be a term that is used as a blanket justification for any unforseen behavior that may come from a veteran (inappropriately I might add).Those who use the term PTSD need to be careful that it is used appropritely to discribe actual clinical applications. I have never known of cases of PTSD to kill freindlies, then have the presence of mind to steal the victims car, drive home and call family members to tell them that you just killed somebody; and then wait at home for the consequences. Mental unbalance for sure, but PTSD doesn’t seem to fit Routh’s actions. Second; the debate over mental health is full of mine fields.Applying the diagnosis from the understanding we have of mental health could be used against “normal” citizens to acheive the removal of guns from us all!

  They won”t negotiate with terrorists for the release of American hostages, but our gov’t has no qualms about funding the terrorists that are destroying the peoples and infrastructure of other countries including our allies: especially Israel. The free world is proping up and funneling cash to the terrorists that ARE killing Israeli’s every day, and our gov’t that we elected is spearheading the “leveling of the playing field”.For those who would find fault with the Colonialism of era’s gone by we have now sacrificed our principles of freedom to fund the proxy destruction of every bastion of democracy on the planet. I don’t know how to thank the 53 million who voted for Obama so that they can watch the carnage on their free phones.We now export sedition in Obama’s name: it used to be a crime. Shame on us. Are we American’s or are we mice??? Pass the cheese.

  If this lunacy is taken to its logical conclusion then Boeing won’t be able to put out a request for qualified plane engineers because the “sanitary engineers” won’t be able to apply. Why do we think that it is important to have like minded people in charge of outcomes that they have previous experience and interest in.It is perfectly understandable that the folks who run the institution would want atheists and Communists running a Christian fraternity and make the fraternity open the doors to anyone who wants to be there; regardless of its stated reason for existance! Next time the universities faculty wants to fly to another state to watch the volleyball team let them get seats on a dumpster with a Jado rocket and they can qualify their experience with the Einstein Awards judges!!   We are a Judeao/Christian nation of laws. If we allow people to practice mutilation and murder in the name of their religious practice then we forsake the very boundries that civilized peoples regard as protection from fear and bullying afforded to all people by the G-d of the Bible. If people are going to come to America to practice those actions that break our laws then we either change our laws to allow murder and mutilation to flourish or we tell them to take a hike.Next it will be going to a Catholic or Christian church and insisting that because they are there that we need to change our belief system and manner of worship so that their brand of murder is tolerated!!!
