I applaud the efforts of ‘Anonymous’ to prevent the additional distress the Westboro members may have inflicted on the grieving families in Newtown.
However; they have gone a step too far with their slightly unnerving intimidation tactic, in my view. This has effectively eliminated the possibility of ‘taking the high road.’
‘Anonymous’ would be better served to simply neutralize the threat, make a brief statement explaining such, and leaving it be.

She did exactly what she should have done. What did the Palestinian teen *think* was going to happen? Why would he use a fake gun in a combat situation?

Regardless of ‘denomination,’ I applaud this young man for going against the Hollywood grain and speaking about his faith in Jesus.
For the sake of clarity and disclosure; I have family with Adventist ties.
While I don’t agree with everything they teach; I can tell you that their theology is incredibly sound and rooted in logic and actual recorded history. (For what it’s worth, I have extensive study in world religions.)
My personal view is that the SDA church is largely like any other protestant denomination, with natural variance.
Claims that the Adventist church is a ‘cult’ are incredibly subjective, and have been widely debunked by evangelical leadership for the better part of the past century.
Does worship on the same Sabbath day that Christ himself kept make a cult?
Do Levitical dietary guidelines in the interest of good health make a cult?
Does belief in the protestant reformers’ historic discovery of middle-ages Catholicism representing beast power in Daniel make a cult?
Sadly, Adventists (like Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses) suffer from incredible Xenophobia within Christendom. The fact that Joseph Smith, William Miller and Ellen White were controversial figures has created much of the problem. We all have skeletons in our closet.
Regardless, kudos to young Mr. Angus Jones.

I find it quite troubling to see the actions of a man leading a congregation of people who completely ignores the message of the main player in his professed Holy Book.
Whether you believe in the divinity (or even the existence) of Jesus Christ; the recorded message was quite clear. Love each other…turn from violence… don’t be judgmental … treat others as you would have them treat you…etc.
Completely baffling how ‘Christians’ can distort such a profoundly human kindness-oriented teaching.

I am not a fan of Mr. Limbaugh in general. Still, there is universal truth in this monologue. The beauty of a free economy is that there are no winners or losers…either threshold is simply a matter of perspective.
What is guaranteed is that genuine work ethic and some level of foundational education will lead to shelter, transportation & food at the minimum.
For those that are not able-bodied or psychologically capable to flourish, a true free market leaves unbridled potential for charity.

From a historical perspective, whether you believe in ‘sky god’ or not; what I find most troubling is that the believers rarely take the time to properly study their Holy book…..for themselves.
‘The Rapture’ is never mentioned in *any* canonical text…Neither Hebrew nor Greek. It is simply part of a dispensationalist/futurist concept introduced by Jesuit scholars as part of the Counter-Reformation (to reel in the Protestant movement.) It worked.
Sadly, regardless of religion (or lack thereof); religious believers rarely open their minds to study factual history individually…and instead simply take the words of their spiritual leaders as pre-determined fact during their weekly Friday/Saturday/Sunday meetings.
