I had my old Franklin Regional High School diploma sitting on my dresser after my Mom mailed it to me a week ago to my surprise. It was shocking this morning as I was listening to Glenn Beck to hear them report on what took place at Franklin Regional. It is such a fine school and excellent community. It further demonstrates that evil is permeating and is certainly not confined to areas with reputation for crime. America is in need of a Great Awakening. It reminds me of a warning from Benjamin Franklin “only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”
The “masters” are tyrants of course and we have some who stand by at every such incident ready to further exploit for their own aggrandizement. They seduce the aloof with promises of protection if only we will give them just a bit more of our liberty.
I agree with “most” of your statement .There needs to be a serious spiritual house cleaning. But there’s more to this than people just being “stupid”...
This has to do replacing the Lord Jesus and the word of God ,gradually filtered OUT of the Boardroom ….While his adversary that ole devil ,has been allowed into the boardroom ,in the disguise of conformity., intolerance, discrimination. Tactics that the world has become very good at using to bully Christians and their faith…Whenever and wherever they can.
I will forgive them ONLY if they are willing to “truly repent” for what the have done. They have took a “Christian Organization” and tried to conform it to the world. and what I mean by “forgive”…Is they need to ’RESIGN”
Their sin is between them and God.
But, they still need replaced with “people” who have the full armor of God on that can handle all the temptation and secular tactics that will be needed to hold such positions.
That’s the problem with so many of these mega pastors or people in higher authority that are doing Gods work ,who have fallen and ask for forgiveness and turn right around repeatedly fail or even worse rationalize their conformity and behavior that could potentially lead people astray .
They cant handle their own spiritual life ,so what makes these people think they’re capable of handling MORE responsibility.

In these last days of America, western civilization & perhaps humanity as we know it, it appears there is a rapid augmentation of demon possession that very closely resembles the accounts given as Christ walked the Earth.
No, just judgmental. Paul probably wasn't married at the time either. Should that have disqualified him from being an elder? Paul said he had learned to be abased, but he also said that he learned to abound. There is no anointing for poverty. We are called to give to the poor, not to BE the poor. This Pastor probably gives more than you do. Should you be considered less because you give less? Or if you earn more than he does and give less than he does, does that mean you are not as spiritual as he is? Would you enjoy being wealthy? Then maybe your heart is in the wrong place. You should ask your boss to pay you less to keep you humble and prevent you from sinning. Money doesn't make someone holy or sinful It just magnifies what they already are. Don't compare yourself to Paul, you might fall very short. They that compare themselves among themselves are not wise. Remember that. I'm very happy when my Pastor is financially blessed and well off. He deserves it, and more.

At the very least I would say there is the old wise saying to “avoid APPEARANCE OF impropriety”. This feeds into what the world sees Christians as being and is unwise. Appearance is important for Christians, especially Pastors because we are a living testimony and are the only Bible many people will ever read.

“He spent the first 10 minutes of his Sunday sermon essentially defending the home and proclaiming that all blessings come from God…”
The fact that he now has to spend 10 minutes defending his home may be an argument for the imprudence. I can solve his dilemma!
What –I– would like to think I would do is – since I’m so independently wealthy, I would forgo my salary. Controversy OVER.
Yep. Say what Jesus said. The apostles did and they were run out of city by city, stoned to death, beheaded, crucified upside-down & right-side up.
The church was mobile back then. The problem now is you have to have all of these pastors writing books and conducting seminars to sell to other churches on how to grow their churches – because they spend so much on building programs. They now have too much to RISK to talk about sin and repentance for fear of not making the bogey.
Maybe these churches should all meet in houses so they can stop trying to placate all of the “modern” generations raised to believe they deserve a trophy for losing and refuse the gospel because acknowledging sin hurts their SELF-ESTEEM.
I believe we mock God when we have pastors thinking after 2,000 years, they know better than Christ Himself and the apostles on how to run a church. The buildings and the trappings are the albatross.
Gos warned in Revelation – I wish that thou were either hot or cold but because thou art Lukewarm, I will spue thee out of thy mouth.
Sound like a pulpit pounder? Well, sorry, there was a REASON why God sent His Son and He was very clear what salvation requires. We don’t get to change the rules of the Alpha & the Omega because we are so smart and He doesn’t NEED our bright ideas and Disneyesque church buildings to sell His gift.
If people reject it, they choose. PREACHERS – STOP trying to palliate it with specious left-wing pablum. You’re n

This is what was prophesies about. In the end times, people would:
* gather teachers unto themselves to tickle their ears.
* They would refuse to endure sound doctrine.
* There will be a great “shaking” in the church and a “falling away”.
Here’s the deal. NARROW is the road. If people don’t want to admit they are sinners – in need- of a savior, than God cannot save them. God said we must repent of our sins and accept the gift of His Son. We don’t get to pick and choose. We do not get to say, “I’m going to continue in fornication or homosexuality without repentance – but go to church and claim the name of Jesus”.
The largest churches in America are more like Disney and they do not talk about sin. They breech their responsibility of informing their flock of what they -must- do to be saved (according to Jesus Christ Himself). The churches that are “bucking the trend” and growing rapidly are the churches where people living together outside of marriage, people living homosexual lifestyles can attend week after week without having any conviction or discomfort.
The church is heading toward apostasy because as Paul said – people will gather teachers unto themselves who will “tickle their ears”. They do cover the tithing part pretty thoroughly though.
The solution: Don't sugarcoat the Word of God. Be brutally honest about people sinning and what happens if they reject Christ and his commandments. Make sure this message is prevalent among the rest of the service.
And if it takes rock music and coffee lounges to get people to listen to that message, so be it. I think churches can be effective in spreading the gospel even with the flashy displays and loud guitars. (There IS that passage about making a JOYFUL NOISE...)
I left out the word – BETTER – picture. This looks like someone went through frame by frame to select the most ridiculous expression that would have occurred within one frame of a 30 frame per second sequence.

Common GUYS. WHAT is the deal??? Surely you can find a PICTURE of the venerable Tim Scott???? I was going to share this on FB but I have more respect for Tim Scott than to do so. Seriously. This isn’t Fox.

I get it now. You guys are still punishing South Carolina until they extricate the hemorrhoid of Lindsey Graham. Only THEN will you use flattering pictures of SC Senator Tim Scott. Right?

SORRY, I mean “PRECEDES” the Antichrist. Spell check didn’t catch Proceeds, to my chagrin.

Seriously, Obama is NOT the Devil and he is NOT the Antichrist. Obama is the False Prophet who proceeds the Antichrist. He is the satantic equivalent of the Antichrist’s John the Baptist. Satan literally has a counterfeit of everything that God does. WHY? Who knows, because he is perverse… But he does. Even the Satanic Bible is nothing more than taking the actual scriptures line by line and stating the opposite.
On a liter note, Scalia stated: ““That always puzzled me. What happened to the Devil, you know? He used to be all over the place. He used to be all over the New Testament.”
Of course he is doing his serious work through his servants in politics, deceiving the masses through media and enslaving them through pornography, sex, entertainment etc. But I also think he is all over the place in the PHYSICAL sense as he was 2,013 years ago – but – he has been sedated by Pfizer and Merck.
SORRY, I mean "PRECEDES" the Antichrist. Spell check didn't catch Proceeds, to my chagrin.

McCain can and should be RECALLED. There are YEARS left on his term and he should rightfully end his career in infamy like Specter. The Arizona constitution provides for recalling their Senators and the bar is not high. In fact, it would be easier to recall this traitor than past attempts to primary him out!
THAT would send shock waves and fear throughout the GOP. Recall McCain. He should NOT be allowed to retire after this term with dignity for his career of betrayal.
