Right on! They needed a SCAPEGOAT after the movie collapsed as a cover story for the ambassador’s execution. This needs a special counsel. Where is Ken Starr when we need him!
See The (Shocking) Numbers Behind the Jobs Numbers
April 5, 2011 at 8:05pm
Those old enough remember…it took WWII, not govt. programs, to end depression era unemployment in the ’30′s. The programs then actually retarded job growth, as they do now. The solutions don’t change, either more defense spending, or drastic reduction in the size of the fed. govt. A true brake on private investment has become the sheer size of the “central govt.” and hence jobs. The young people need to get out an vote for downsizing the fed govt.
Rand Paul Gives David Letterman an Economics Lesson
February 26, 2011 at 1:05pm
Letterman is uncomfortable with the “late night” comedian in the private sector having to satisfy a customer base to remain viable while a “government” comedian could be unfunny and survive. Letterman was dissembling in “not getting” it. His audience wouldn’t like it if he agreed with Senator Paul, so he does the copout. This is a fundamental problem with politicians too, they have to dissemble to their base to get elected or raise funds. Flawed system, for sure but is there a better one? Tell me, if you know of one.
Arizona Aftermath: Beck Issues Challenge to American People, Politicians and Media
January 10, 2011 at 4:28pm
When your side is out of power, keep your mouth shut and plan silently. There are things you can do, but they are not in the public arena. Remember the summer of ’07? The Bush haters were digging themselves a deeper hole every day. Tom Delay was indicted, Sen Ted Stevens was indicted, etc, etc, none of that worked, except to invcrease the political donations from the right, not what they wanted to accomplish, but Sen Schumer had the key to victory, he leaked a letter about the imminent collapse of the mortgage securities market. Home values plummeted. Bush got the blame. That’s how the game is played.

Convictions under the law where your political opponents have control of the prosecutor’s political future are inherently suspect, eg, Alaska’s Sen. Stevens, where the other party wanted a key senator removed, and couldn’t get it done in the ballot box. It’s cases like these that create”public disrespect” for the law.
Stop Bringing It Up: Sen. Alexander Fights Back on Left‘s Palin ’Crosshair’ Motive Narrative
January 9, 2011 at 1:09pm
When the news covers a tornado, it’s always the damage and loss of life, usually in a trailer park. Now we know the myth. Tornadoes are “spawned by trailer parks”. Turn on a myth here and guns could be a cause. Or Palin’s target symbol. This was a tornado of the mind. An act of God. Like a flood in Australia. Hugh loss of life. Lucky you weren’t there, is all you can say, when it happened.
Birther Heckler in House Chamber Interrupts Constitution Reading
January 6, 2011 at 6:17pm
Heckler? Prettty strong, considering the suspicion surrounding this subject. The burden of proof is on the person who has best access to the facts to resolve a pure question of fact like this. The House should use its subpoena powers to hold hearings and get this issue resolved once and for all.
Could Obama Ambassador Jon Huntsman, Jr. Be the GOP’s 2012 Nominee?
January 1, 2011 at 9:59pm
No skeletons for the leftist media to drag out, and he had a spectular record as governor of Utah. He will know how to trim the federal budget back and cut regulations from undrer the bureaucracy and unions.

Symbolism is sometimes useful. Accouterments of leadership. General Patton had pearl handled revolvers. Napoleon rode a hugh white horse, but: “7 Events that made America, America” Schweitzer, Larry, his history of past epochs that changed the course of the Country, this may be one of those times?
