  • Tell men not to rape women… the next thing you know, they’ll be calling rape ‘An unwanted sexual encounter’…

Is that anything like, “You brought it on yourself by dressing like that”? Or “You put yourself in that situation…”?

I’m disgusted when these types reverse the roles of perp and victim. This woman needs to watch a few hours of Investigation Discovery and figure out that violent crime, isn’t detoured by pleading and begging, as a matter of fact, some of those types are driven further forward by that fear. Sometimes, its not even stopped when a woman responds with violence to defend herself. And a lot of the time, these rapists just keep going, sometimes for years, leaving a trail of broken lives and dead bodies in their wake, while the police chase after clues.

However, one confident, well trained woman with a firearm, could save not only herself, but a host of future victims, and possibly bring some peace of mind to any earlier ones.

Just simply brings to mind the phrase, “I’d rather be judged by twelve, than carried by six.”

Well, unless the twelve is filled with her kind of stupid…

  • Hate speech on blatant display, in WRITING on a very public billboard. But they complain and whine when people strike back. So, when I put up a billboard that says :

Atheists have FAITH that there is no God. Actively recruit members. Actively preach their point of view. Are convinced that they are the only ones that are smart enough to know the “truth”. They have FAITH that in the end, there will be nothing. Sounds like a religion to me.

    That will be fine, right?

  • I live in the Tampa Bay area. We’re getting some nice breezes and some much needed rain. I’ve had hurricane parties in worse storms, oh lets say Charley. News people, politicians and their pets have become wimps and fear mongers. Geez, it gets a little wet and they start panicking. Not one of them is made of sugar, though a few might be made of salt or possibly related to the Wicked Witch of the West. And I’m not talking Nancy Piglousy. I just saw a news clip where the reporter was going on about puddles on the beach in Miami and acting like the little white caps there are some ravaging tsunami.

Its good that they know how to set up to handle excess problem causers, but I have a question. Why is this not SOP anyway? Why is this special preparations and not efficient court normality? Oh yeah, they LIKE having people rot away over stupid things in jail ( like not being able to afford insurance ). First they take your license, then stick you in jail with rapists, murderers and thugs until they get around to arraigning you, the whole time treating you like you’re no better than the guy that shot up the convenience store for $30 dollars in cash. Then when you do see the judge, they slap the local drug dealer on the wrist and send them on their merry way, then make sure that the poor guy with no insurance is “made an example of”. Our “justice” system is screwed. If they can do this for the convention, shouldn’t they be doing it ALL the time?

  • You have taken your last mortal step, Mr. Armstrong. You have inspired so many. I hope and pray that more men and women look to the moon and remember your footsteps. And finally realize that we can’t stop there.

  • Sur, maybe you’re the one that’s not keeping up. Out of his own mouth, Oblahblah flat out stated, “I wouldn’t want my daughter to be punished with a child.” If either of his girls got pregnant before they were out of the house, I’m betting that they’d “counsel” her to abort, so as not to “ruin” her life through an unplanned pregnancy.

  • A few years ago, I watched my mother care for my cancer stricken grandmother for over a year, while chemo dragged her down and weakened her body so much that the cancer actually spread rather than getting any better. My mother spent every waking hour taking care of her every need, as did two others of her children. My parents paid her bills, paid to have work done to her fading house. My mother bathed her and clothed her and fed her, when she could eat at all. My mother would call me and cry. The woman that she talked to nearly every day from the day that she was born, was dying a horrible death in front of her. My mother wasn’t thinking about the money they had to spend, or the diapers that she had to change, or the baths and food preparation or pill management. My mother was thinking that a woman that she loved so dearly was suffering and there was nothing that she could do other than just be there for her.
And should the time come that my mother needs me to do the same, I will. With heartache and pain but with all the love and compassion that’s in me. How many times did my mom wipe my backside? How many times did she comfort me when I was sick? How many hours of sleep did she lose when the doctors told her that I was dying from pneumonia? How many times did she pick me up when I couldn’t do it myself? How many booboos did she kiss?
Our elders deserve our best, until God calls them home. Period. Suck it up. They sure did for you!

  • Forgiveness is not for those that have hurt you. It is so that hatred doesn’t destroy you from the inside. Though forgiveness does have a wonderful side effect of helping them as well. Cameron didn‘t strike me as some cold blooded person that didn’t care that he’d caused that kind of damage to a family. If anything, he seemed humbled and amazed that anyone could ever forgive him for his stupidity that night. Hate is displayed so often and being the first, guttural response to being wronged, doesn’t make it the right response. I suffered through years of trying to figure out why I was supposed to forgive the people that hurt me so badly in life. Why should I forgive them, they wouldn’t even admit to doing wrong? Then one night, in the depths of my despair, I felt that voice. “They don’t need your forgiveness.. you do.” Hate is the soul killer. It also damages the mind and body. Its ok to be angry. Its ok to be sad. Hatred is never right. If you cannot show forgiveness to those that have wronged you, you and the ones that you love are the only ones that feel that strain. Take time to grieve and scream and throw things. “Love those that hate you, and pray for those that spitefully use you…”. Its easy to show love and compassion to those that are good to you. It takes a lot more spine, courage and love to show that same love and compassion to someone that has wronged you.

Have you seen the way that the illegal population has destroyed a good portion of southern Arizona? Have you been threatened by them, telling you that they’ll kill all the “European” people, such as I, that were BORN THERE and that they’ll take Arizona back by blood? Have you seen the degeneration of homes and apartments because 10 people will be living in a one bedroom residence, while they do nothing for the communities that they’re stealing jobs and money from. Have you seen them continually pregnant and getting benefits that they don’t pay for because they are here ILLEGALLY and working under the table for crooked businessmen? Benefits that most legal citizens get turned down for? Have you seen the slums in Tucson, my home town, that they’ve created? Have you ever opened your front door to cars blocking you in because the ILLEGAL drug dealers think that they own everything? Have you opened your front door in the morning to go to work, and see and smell nothing but alcohol, beer cans and liquor bottles littering the streets? How about you try going into any other country illegally and see what happens to you? They sure won’t be extending voting rights to you. Mexico is bad. Their prisons are even worse and they won’t hesitate to harass and arrest you for the most inane things. We are a SOVEREIGN NATION! 90% of illegals don’t want to be citizens, they just want to drain our economy. They only want to vote so that they can KEEP draining us dry.

  • Liberal Writer: I Wish I’d Been Aborted

    August 16, 2012 at 12:19am

People like this make me sick. I was born at the tail end of 1973.. my birth mother had actually traveled out of the state that she was living in, to seek out an abortion in another state. I don’t know why, and I may never know as I’ve never been able to find her, she opted to return home and try to care for me for 8 months before giving me up for adoption. But I’ll tell you this, even with all of the agony that I’ve suffered in my life, I thank God and my birth mother for opting to give me life, instead of snuffing it out before I had a chance to experience it, with all of its ups and downs. I thank her for giving me the opportunity to be a strong woman that has learned through her trials and tribulations, how to pick myself up, brush myself off and move on with life. I have the chance to love and yes, even be angry and hurt. It means I’m ALIVE! I can feel despair or I can feel elation! I can look on the face of my husband and know love and thankfulness. I can look on the face of the parents that raised me and know that even with all of our troubles in the past, life can be better when we learn a few valuable lessons. I pity those that are so quick to jump on the “life has no meaning” bandwagon. Her argument is pitiful and selfish in every respect and extreme. Wah wah, I had a tough childhood. Join the crowd, sweetheart. My life story would only serve make you look like the whiny fool that you are.

  • Forgiveness Is Newsworthy
