Guys, It’s really simpler than all that: Constitution v. Progressives
The Second Amendment states “shall not be infringed” period. Yet lawmakers like the venerable Gov of CT feel that infringing that right “is the right thing to do”, in response to the actions of a handful of “reality challenged” murderers.
If, as the Gov asserts, the “gun lobby” is soooo out of touch with the American People, then getting 2/3 of the states to ratify the repeal the second amendment should be a slam dunk, should it not?
So do it.
I will still think it is misguided and niaive, but I would support the constitution, as is my obligation.
However, as it stands today, they are in violation of the oath they took to support and defend the constitution. End of Debate. It simply isn’t legal and I am particularly dissapointed in the veterans I see here who seem to have forgotten what they fought for.

I went to the Chick-Fil-A right in the belly of the beast (CNN Center Food Court in Atlanta) and it was the busiest restaurant there. Probably not worth it for CNN to send a camera crew all the way down a flight of stairs to cover it! No sigh of Anderson Cooper in the line, though…

Something does have to be done. It is inexcusable that this guy could pause to reload without someone returning fire. ONE CCW holder in that theater could have saved 12 lives.
Last time I checked, mass murder was already banned, but the shooter didn’t seem deterred by that; I’m sure a gun law would do the trick, right?
