  What irony. I just watched “Johnny Got His Gun” yesterday. I work in the medical field and have always been taught that the brain is the final frontier. When I ever have contact with anyone that has brain damage I still speak to them as though they are completely aware. My father was in a coma 2 times in one year and while in his condition he did not remember anything I still find it best to treat all humans with complete respect…just as we would if they could speak back to us.
