If you look at Obama’s record you have to understand that he sees any new gun regulations as a new revenue stream from the middle class and what a better way to keep guns out of the hands of the poor then to tax them out of financial reach.

I just don’t see confiscation happening in my lifetime but what I do fear is gun registration We have to all understand that with gun registration your looking at paying fees on your firearms that if Democrats get there way could mean yearly payments to the federal government just to keep your weapons. The next thing we have to watch for is background checks and increased taxes on on ammunition because as they say the weapon is no good if you don’t have the ammunition.
We all have to understand that the republicans are not going to protect all of the legal rights to own firearms the question will be how much will they give up just so they can say that they compromised.

It might seem to be a little cold of me but my take on the news accounts of the incident is the dad was irresponsible with the firearm. The weapon should have been cleared and it should have been secured before he got into his truck. It’s my opinion as a gun owner that the father should be charged with at minimum reckless endangerment.
We as gun owners can not give excuses for irresponsibility.
