  I will risk ridicule by describing my approach to solving my terrifying experiences with this phenomena. I had a woman in black visit my bedside from the time I was a child (I felt she was evil) who would come stand by my bed and stare at me; I could not move. I learned to pray during the episodes and recite scripture. Now I can quote scripture to characters in my dreams and change my dreams. The ability came with practice- and aspirin related or not (we all took aspirin back then) the episodes and the terror completely stopped.

  Dear Time Magazine: Yeshua never advocated giving all to the government for redistribution. Take your lack of knowledge about Messiah and your obvious atheistic disdain for religion elsewhere. If I ever see a Time again- I am using it to line the birdcage.

  I know these people personally. It is true that cities need zoning laws- but one should be able to have 20 or even 30 people over to your house for a meal (or Superbowl party) without the threat of search warrants, fines, and jail. If we continue to give up our freedoms, now evermore tenuous, we will have none left. If we do not stand with those under fire- we do not deserve to use their water hose to put our own fires out.

  I am a white woman and I wear a “hoodie” all winter long. I guess I better be more careful walking through my neighborhood of people who mostly look like me, because in my sunglasses and hoodie this 52 year old grandma might looks like a gangster.
  I can’t believe people like this can get elected in this country. Until we make that impossible by transmitting proper character values, we as a people will teeter on the edge of a precipice.

  So true, Mess23. He thinks all he has to do is speak and it shall be done. He tried to impugn Bush’s character, and now is working to destroy any legacy he has left. I don’t know how letting failing schools off the hook (so they do not have to be closed) helps any student. We need privately run schools, we need vouchers so our money goes to education that works and that someone has an actual stake in, As a homeschool mom for 25 years- I can’t believe that I have to pay taxes to support schools where students cannot perform at minimum standards. Twenty Five years is enough. I am tired of seeing kids work to make A’s through school only to find out they are qualified for remedial education at the local junior college. No child left behind was not perfect- but it was an effort. Replace it with nothing by gavel?!!!!!! NO!

  Spasm- You are assuming your neighbors who are getting a divorce do not have a history of killing other people on your block or are using violent rhetoric to threaten your neighborhood. That is what Ahmadinejad is doing, Syria is killing its own citizens (would you stand in the background if your neighbor getting a divorce was shooting his children?) and Egypt is killing Christians. Your isolationist rationale sounds good but does not make sense and won’t work.
