  The concept of right and wrong are religious tenants. Without responsibility to a higher authority for our actions….it is no longer “right” or “wrong”…it becomes making choices which result in the least amount of consequences.
  How do you make laws to govern if you can not adequately determine a basis of “acceptable” action?
  Like it or not….our laws are based on Judea/Christian ethics….the 10 Commandments. Eliminate “God” from the verbiage and you have a sound base to begin developing laws by which everyone can live by…..even Muslims and Buddhists.
  The greatest problem isn’t religious based laws…..it is attorneys who struggle to define what “is” actually is……

  I still can’t understand why the resurrection is so much a part of the LDS faith. All it accomplished was for everyone to have an “eternal life”. Yet….if we all begin as spirits…don’t we already have eternal life? The LDS faith is not about what Jesus did..but what we do. We control our paths to become gods…..like the god who rules over this universe….who was once a man….perfected. Jesus had NOTHING to do with this god becoming god…..so why is it important for us?

  Bones…Your deity shares the name of Jesus with the Christian faith…but that is where it ends. Your Jesus was not born of a virgin. Your Jesus is 1/2 brothers with Satan. The blood of your Jesus can not cover you for all sins….plus many more….but you get the picture.
