I could have sworn there were more people on welfare in red states than blue states.

I could have also sworn more teenage pregnancies happen in red states as well.

I guess being Christian means taking from society.

It’s funny how this idea the Republicans came up with twenty years ago was held up by the courts and Obama ran with the ball for it.

You all don’t realize how badly this is needed before it actually happens to you.

Actually, there are several reasons why gas prices are high. One is the fact that there are not enough refineries operating to make gas for us. http://205.254.135.7/tools/faqs/faq.cfm?id=29&t=6

Another fact is, this pipeline is intended to be a shortcut for Canada to ship oil over to Asia using our country as the foundation for this pipeline? http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/03/03/do-republicans-realize-that-keystone-pipeline-won-t-bring-gas-to-u-s.html

Ignoring facts means you’re ignorant to the truth and will blame anyone you hate. That’s a tactic fascists instill on people. Without reasoning, you become a fearmongering fascist.

You’re right about the controlled media. Especially Clear Channel.

Does it matter to anyone else but you? Aren’t people free to believe in whatever they want? Or should they be forced to believe like you?

    @COLT1860

Marxism is just an industrial-age rehash of Jesus’s message of giving up material wealth for moral wealth. Jesus is an iron age rehash of the same message given by Buddha in the bronze age. The only thing separating the three is the cultural context the people were in and rebelling against. Buddha was in a Hindu culture and rebelled against the corruption inherent in the caste system. Jesus was in a Roman occupied Jewish culture and rebelled against the corruption in the priesthood and government. Marx was in a science and technology driven industrial culture and rebelled against the corruption of the industrial giants and sweatshops. It’s all about empowering the lower classes against the wealthy by giving them soothing lies and getting them organized.

Shasta, you would have preferred McCain? The same guy who just pushed for the NDAA to put Americans in jail without trial?

    Back on track to where?

It’s four more years of the same thing if you vote either way.

No that was Hitler. A fellow Christian. http://nobeliefs.com/Hitler1.htm

Sounds like some people aren’t too happy with judicial law. If you’re not happy with it might I suggest:

    - Run for political office
    - Introduce an amendment to the Constitution to endorse any imaginary sky wizard you love
    - Have all 50 states ratify it
    - Be happy that you got your way

If you need help printing these instructions out, I suggest Googling the answer. If you need further info, might I suggest taking a tenth grade US History class as it might be better suited for your intelligence level.

I hope you meant weak argument for him.

  • January 18, 2012 at 10:26am

No, he was Christian. A lot of what he believed was based on Christian faith. See, Atheists do their homework and know a little bit about how to argue points with theists. That’s the problem. You can deny all you want the truth, but in the end, you know you’re wrong. Prove Hitler was an Atheist then. Show historical evidence that he was not a Christian.

Treaty of Tripoli mean anything? Constitution also does not endorse any one religion. How would feel if another religion were on that banner? Say, something from the Qur’an? How would feel about that? Judging from the crowd in this room, you’d all be up in arms. Do your homework before you come to class.

And for the record, Hitler let Christianity influence a lot of his decision making: http://nobeliefs.com/Hitler1.htm

If you ignore history, you’re doomed to repeat it. Sounds a lot like the people on this thread.

You can’t deny what Hitler did with Christianity.

    I love this board.

Everyone on here does the following:

    - Props up the Bible and say it’s the greatest thing in the world.
    - Props up the US Constitution and say it’s the greatest thing in the world.

But when the Constitution clearly allows this ruling to happen, it affects your Bible and you cry and putt around complaining all day. It seems you can’t have both in this story.

Your imaginary sky wizard has let this happen. Maybe there is no sky wizard?
