  Motor vehicle operators are the ones who pay for the roads through gasoline taxes. Bicyclists pay nothing. They don’t own the road and should act accordingly. It certainly doesn’t help their cause when they flip car drivers off for little or no reason.

  I ride bicycles, too, but when I see some others riding along my local highway, oblivious to what happens when a motor vehicle might hit them, the word stupid comes to mind. The car driver may be at fault but the bike rider will be dead. One more thing, about sharing the road. Bicycle riders don’t pay the taxes (as bike riders) for the roadways and should not have equal rights to the use of the roadways. Let them pay for their own bike paths, etc.

  The Miranda Rights are just that, rights. A suspect has the right to an attorney and the right to silence whether he is read them or not. He can refuse to speak and ask for an attorney at any time, Mirandized or not. Most Americans know this just by watching TV. Further, if they do not read him his rights and he does speak out, they can’t use his words at his trial but they may still act on them in other ways. They have enough, now, to convict him without his confession.

  I think we will see, in the end, after she has had to “prove her innocence”, that she will never get her guns back. What she will hear is, “Oh, sorry, we accidentally destroyed them”. And, further, there will be no accountability from law enforcement or the govt.

  Nope, this is not about marriage equality, the ****’s ALREADY have that! Think! Marriage is and always has been defined as a union between a man and a woman. ANY man can marry ANY woman right now. Their sexual orientation does not matter. A gay man can marry a gay woman or a straight woman throughout the country, right now. They HAVE equality now. No, what they want is SPECIAL rights. They want to hijack another perfectly good English word and turn it into something completely different from it’s current meaning. Look at what they’ve done to the word “gay”. One hundred years ago, “gay” was a commonly used word referring to good things, fun things. Now it’s impossible to use the word without conjuring up very unpleasant thoughts. Let’s not allow that to happen to the good word, marriage. If they want to have a union, OK with me, just don’t call it marriage.

  @Momrules,…..You’re absolutely right about the untold reasons Palin resigned her governorship. Because of the multitude of juvenile, unfounded lawsuits perpetrated by the filthy progressives, she decided to resign rather than put the Alaska citizens and taxpayers through the wringer. The Alaska taxpayers would have had to pay the defense bill and Palin was stand-up in her response.

  On another note, one you probably won’t agree with, but true, Todd Akin, mentioned in this article, was absolutely correct in what he said about conception during rape (in many cases). Shown to be true in earlier scientific studies compiled in a book by Masters and Johnson. Look it up. What he said, however, was completely uncalled for and without doubt, ill advised., true or not. Also, to argue with Akin’s use of the word “legitimate” is to argue with your own intelligence. These final thoughts are not directed toward @Momrules but if the shoe fits,…………………………..

  You are referring to Ann Coulter, aren’t you, Patriot? I generally agree with her take on political matters except when she was all for tubby Christy for pres. She really had it wrong there. However, I especially agree with her characterization of that old hag, the has been senator.

  Woahh here ! This hag equates banning child porn with the “assault weapons” ban ? Apples and oranges, folks. Those who would covet child porn are a small, sick fringe group, far from mainstream society. In contrast, an extremely large number of everyday, normal, upstanding citizens own, collect and use safely and lawfully military type small arms. For Feinstein to use child porn in her rebuttal is ignorant and actually borders on stupidity.

  In my view, burglary is a crime most foul, especially residential burglary. Having been burglarized three different times in the past, I think that on the spot execution is an appropriate punishment for adult offenders. Perhaps something less severe for minors.
