  SOSORRYFORYOU, I’m afraid you don’t know basic federal gun laws, otherwise you would know that non-U.S. citizens are on the list of prohibited persons from owning firearms. Unless he or she has a hunting license issued by going through the process in the states. Check the books.

  One more thing to add. Liberals typically decry violations of civil rights… here’s another thing to think about. Every country in which there has been ethnic cleansing and genocide has been in countries whose people have been disarmed, and left at the mercy of rogue governments and facitons. Take a good look at every form of genocide that has been commited in history and you’ll see that exact same characteristic on each one.

  Hm… why do we need “assault weapons?” Let me take a shot at that one.

  To keep ourselves safe from tyranny in government. That’s why the founders wrote the 2nd Amendment the way they did, is to keep the government from enslaving the people the way King George did back in Britain. Because no government, no matter how well armed, can stand up against the American people as a whole. Removing these weapons off the streets would not address crime whatsoever because we still have to worry about our open border with Mexico. And I assure you… You can take people’s guns if you want (if you want mine, you better make sure I don’t have a pulse), but the moment you ban guns or even assault weapons… the same guns that were smuggled to the cartels by our government will end up right back on our turf being used to rape and murder our own people. Think about that one.

  And here I thought it was just common sense to unload your weapon when taking it in to a gunsmith or gunshop to be worked on or traded in, whatever the intended purpose is… Every gunshop I’ve been to have had a notice stating “Please unload all firearms before entering.”

  @Eduardo: Yes, nobody needs to endure such attacks, but they still happen to people-adults and children-anyway. It never hurts to prepare, and to have your kids prepared should you or your kid find yourself in that situation. Skills in self defense are just like guns and knives… Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

  There’s the definition since you don’t know seem to know what the term “traitor” really means. And our president fits the bill because he has let terrorists into the White House, and chooses to do nothing about the intelligence leaks coming from his own administration. Why is it that we’ve lost more troops under his presidency than we did during the 8 years Bush was in office. The man is clearly not intent on doing our nation-our military or our people-any good. If this traitor-n-chief gets another 4 years… we’re done. America as we know it will be gone, and there will be no going back.
