  Either way the whole letter sounds like a veiled threat to congress, raise it or else, we’ll just continue to rob Peter to pay Paul via the Federal Retirement System for a couple of months and then be right back where they started.

Selling the Nation’s gold to meet payment obligations would undercut confidence in the United States both here and abroad, and would be extremely destabilizing to the world financial system. With respect to financial assets acquired as part of the response to the financial crisis in 2008 and 2009, Treasury has already sold most of these assets and is conducting an orderly wind-down of the remaining investments. A fire sale of these assets, however, would be disruptive and would harm taxpayer interests.”

  God Bless the Marines. This Marine is doing his duty whether he likes it or not. I think he’s probably holding back vomit in his mouth (marines can do that!) for the situation that he’s in but still does the job! However, let’s hope this is the last time we ever see a U.S. Marine hold an umbrella for any self serving president. By the way, That Marine looks ten times more sharp, professional and respectable than the pres.

  Dont worry Maryland, I’m sure the legislature will make sure that the law has exemptions for movie production companies to still be able to use fake “assault weapons” while filming their violent movies on your streets. Thats one amendment Cuomo is considering here for NY’s SAFE Act (not) Law. I feel safer now! I’m sure they’ll also exempt law enforcement too. But who knows? NY passed their bill in the middle of the night without any debate and forgot to exempt them because they were in such a hurry to ram this bill through. Reminds me of Pelosi…”Ah, we have to pass the bill so we ah, can see what’s in it”! When the 2nd Amendment falls, the rest will soon follow… Hang on gang

  Excellent Rally, Ive never felt more safe downtown. Grew up here north of Albany, hunted, fished, target shooting in the Adirondacks and in the southern zone. Just can’t believe the change in many of our elected officials attitudes towards law-abiding New Yorkers guaranteed 2nd Amendment Right. We’ve got to keep up the fight! (Or Move) Oh yeah… I don’t think anyone died to my knowledge!
