  • He MORON!!! You really are just plain STUPID. Mormons haven’t practiced polygamy in over 150 years. Don’t know if you got the memo (I know new travels slow, and you probably read even slower). STOP calling other people practicing polygamy Mormons. THEY AREN’T. Go get a quarter and buy yourself some brains.

  • @Becca_Leigh – Romney isn’t exciting the base? Well guess what… nobody else is either. How many flavors-of-the-day have we looked at and STILL, STILL!!! the fickle voters can’t get behind anyone. Well, if you can’t get behind anyone, then I guess you get Romney. And really?? Is he that bad? All current nominees basically are gunning for the same thing. It is just how efficient and effective they will be, and Romney is pretty darn effective. And if you want the human touch, read about Romney and his priorities. He shut down his entire firm because an executive couldn’t find his daughter. They flew to NY, he set up a command post and coordinated efforts across different agencies to search NY city for this guys kid. Guess what… they found her! THAT is a story you won’t hear too much of. If you doubt He is a good man. Let’s stop slamming a descent guy. URL is below if you care to check.

  • Before you mouth off, do your research, and be specific. Name calling does nothing to educate and nothing to further your assertions other than prove you have nothing to stand on. Bellow is a link to what I believe is a fair assessment of Mitt’s record based on articles, interviews, debates. I also believe that his explanations during the recent Iowa debate outline how he could say things like wanting to have abortion safe and legal – because it was under the umbrella of being the governor of Massachussetts, and therefore required to uphold and maintain the law of the idiots who voted those kinds of butchering laws in, even though he was “personally against it”. See for yourself. The guys who assembled this website, I think, did a fantastic job. Good luck and God speed.

  • Gary,

Pro-choice – WRONG! Pro-gay marriage – WRONG! Go to http://www.thedailycandidate.com/ They have pulled together and impressive array of video clips to show what Romney has ACTUALLY said. One thing I find interesting, is that REPEATEDLY, he states that although he does not agree with abortion, we will “fight to protect a woman’s right to choose” WHY !?!?!?!?! Because he is the governor. He has to protect the laws that the idiots in Masachussetts voted in. Yes he could attempt to influence those laws, but based on the statement above, NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING that he said is supportive of abortion. Notice the words, even though “I disagree with abortion”. At the end of the day the Mormons are staunch anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage (ever heard of Prop 8). If you are are a leader as Romney has been, you tow the line – PERIOD! No equivocation, no alteration, no room for error. You either support it, or you are simply not a leader.

The problem is that most people don’t pay attention closely enough. Yes Romney is riding a thin line in some of his statements, but so do ALL politicians. This is why we need to pay attention closely. I am not saying vote for Romney, but I am saying, you need to review the videos and keep in mind the aspects of his life and what he actually said in mind. I think his current stance IS and will CONTINUE TO BE, Anti-abortion, and ABSOLUTELY anti gay-marriage.

  • Marauding Mob of 50 Teen-Aged Girls Beats Down 2 NYC Cops

    In reply to momrules.

It is simple. Why on God’s green earth was noone shot?!?!?! Cops should have the right to shoot idiots like this. They attack because they know nothing will happen. Sure they may get arrested, but for these hooligans, it is a badge of honor. Equation is simple Attack cop = get shot. If they die BONUS!

  • @ LESBIANPACKING….

I spent time in Spain. I am not Catholic, but I observed their customs and reverently respected their beliefs. I didn’t jump up and down when I saw some symbol somewhere that reminded me of this Catholic nation. A cross may be displayed, but it is the culture and if you don’t like the culture – MOVE!! If there is such hatred and intolerance for religion (a sincere question), what is the stance of the atheist for all of the religious references in the speeches given by the early Presidents clearly, definitively, and emphatically establishing a belief in and acknowledging a tangible aid from God.

With regard to establishing a religion for Atheists as you have hinted at in other posts, I wasn’t aware that Atheism is seen as a religion. However, if ‘religion’ is seen as merely a set of beliefs, then I concede that the antithesis of one by virtue of mutual exclusion, must establish the other.

In the end, this is not good. Let people show their religion and display symbols to remind them that they are to be decent people and help the poor and the widows. This does nothing for happiness to have the Government compel people to do the same at their behest.

  • No. It doesn’t say “not welcome”. It simply says, we would like to keep our culture of Christianity which pervades the town and maintain it. If you don’t like the culture – move! Don’t put words into someone else mouth.

  • @ Lesbia.sdkfgd…. (Whatever)
Your wrong. As most liberals do when they want to eradicate religion or any other decent element of society that if put into practice correctly maintains the moral fiber of America, they claim activities as rights when in reality they are NOT.

First you misquoted “No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.” No where in that passage you referred to does it mention rights. Priviledge/Immunities – NOT rights!

Next, the constant pandering of the judicial establishment to those who are in any small matter, offended by some supposed injustice or inconvenience, clearly points the direction of our laws to a complete annihilation, if given enough time, of every vestige of what is supposed to keep our society civilized. This will end up in a never ending cycle of being offended, by the offense of the offense of the offense (you get the picture). Our laws will be never ending, and thereby increasingly less manageable. When the regulation of every minutiae of ones existence stems from the fear of offense, there will be a point when society is no longer civilized and personal responsibility which is intended to create happiness is eliminated.

The founding fathers definitively have said that religion is necessary to maintain a democracy. This does not mean, hide religion in a corner only to be exercised on one day or not seen.

  • No. He (the CEO) simply ‘changed’. The term flip-flop would be a change, and then another change. I am only counting one – hence, it is not what you say it is. Of course I guess we could say that about all religious people when they finally convert from one lifestyle to another as ‘flip floppers’ based on your definition.
