  All food would be more expensive if not subsidized by our tax dollars. Just another part of the wealth redistribution system we live in. Let everyone keep their ALL money, prices on some things will go up, others down, but we will have more money to spend according to OUR needs, not those determined by the goobermint.

  The whole culture and framework of farming has got to revert back to the way it was before industrial farming began. Small family farms selling their goods to their local communities using more sustainable practices (I know I hate that word, hijacked by the progressives just like liberal) like permaculture (less pesticides, fertilizers, etc). Farmers fell into the same trap as the rest of us, chasing the almighty dollar and forgetting it should be a lifestyle rather than a way to get rich. We have taken the plunge, starting a local based farm on 40 acres. We realize we won’t be rich, hopefully going into it with that attitude and a willingness to break the “rules” of farming will allow us to survive.
