Here’s my plan; everyone gets a $375 check monthly from the government (eliminating taxes for the first $25,000 of spending), and everyone pays 18% on everything they purchase. Corporations pay the same tax, but get no monthly check. No deductions, no filing, no paperwork. Then the budget has to fit the income derived from those taxes, with 1 point of the 18 for debt reduction. And you can only vote if you contribute to society, and own land.
everything? what if i go shopping at a garage or estate sale? i gotta pay taxes on used stuff?

Maybe the neighbors can band together, and take up a collection for the news crew to buy a new generator.

We have the uncanny ability to put differences aside and unite when somebody pokes us one too many times. The big question is; will we fight to win? We haven’t since WWII. Apparently it’s politically incorrect to just kill everyone and let allah sort them out. The U.N. is one major stumbling block on that front.

I like the post. On the question of “In a battle, do you really think America would win?” Uh, yes! If we actually fought to win.
To win you must be committed, must be of like mind and goal. We are far too fractured as a society to accomplish anything. We let others talk, we let others set the agenda, and that has to stop.

I’ve taken two totally inexperienced (female) shooters to the range in the past month. Both are getting their permits, and one has ordered a LCR already. I do what I can.

Level the whole stinking territory. Let allah sort them out.
and if they get their butt kicked in the process then they brought the hurt on themselves on purpose.
uh, no, oldsailor. That's an irresponsible thing for a navy guy to say. if you punch somebody else out, it's YOUR fault, not theirs.
All they were doing was exercising their American rights. Do you have something against that? Or do I have to come over their, kick your butt, and blame you for "bringing it on yourself"?
Not that I would, or would even think it. I'm just demonstrating the absurdity of your position.

I’m sticking with the first amendment on this one. I may despise your message, but won’t deny your right to shout it out, or demonstrate it any way you wish that does not infringe on my rights.
Good on you! olderjarhead. You obviously understand the principles under which the country was founded.
I see these aggressors as thieves and as having attempted assault and battery.

I love the first amendment, as much as the second.

When I was in third grade my math skills were abysmal. I learned through the threats and intimidation of Sister Rita and Sister Lucy. I remember being publicly shamed while I counted my buttons, and noodles we used to count with. By fifth grade I was a math genius. Amazing what hard work, shame, and two nuns determination will do. They insisted that I be hard on myself, and to realize that giving up is not an option. Lessons that have been used well beyond those years. Education today is boiled right on down to the lowest common denominator. Do you think teachers are allowed to post everyones test results in the hallway these days? NO, because we wouldn’t want to hurt little Johnnies feeling. No shame allowed, so therefore they become adults with no shame. Liberals are all about “feelings”.
Oh how remember those days :)
I was thinking earlier about how the government has basically dumbed everything down in order to protect a child's "sensitivities" but yet they throw something like this at them.
Basically, the government is the only one allowed to keep score in T-ball.
If shame was your only motivation to learn then that could be a problem. It worked for you. Great! As for my child, I do not want them to learn something because they were shamed into it. Instead, I want my child to learn because of a healthy curiosity. I want my child to wonder why the car moves forward from an engine inside or why the sky is blue etc. I don't believe shame is the best approach or maybe I'm wrong, maybe Einstein and Isaac Newton developed ideas from being shamed into it.

I’m going to stick to the fluff stories on here from now on. I can’t take any more.

Kupo, WRP made a dumb comment, but I guarantee a conservative would judge a person by the length of their hair quicker than a lib. I know this from real world experience.
