I think a better analogy is "Mikey, polio is better than cancer!"
"Do you vote for Trump to save the republic, or do you let Hillary destroy it?"
Comments like this take me back 8 years or so.
First of all, I am 100% against Hillary Clinton becoming our next president. But when ever I read comments like this I'm reminded of the cult like followers to our current president. If you truly take into how our government is "SUPPOSE" to work, a single individual cannot save our country. It will take a group of like minded individuals working together as laid out in our constitution to, as you put it, "save the republic". For an individual, or, in this case, an elected President, again, as you put it, "save the republic", that individual would have to rule by executive order, which would turn that, elected "President", into an elected "King". The next president will have to sway the elected members of Congress to get his agenda passed. Trump has already, burned those bridges by saying he doesn't need them. Trump doesn't want to be President, he wants to be king.
Yes, Hillary as president will be a continuation of the last 8 year downfall of the U.S. and we cannot allow that to happen. #neverhillary
Electing Trump to the office of President, will mean at least 4 years of rule by Executive Order.
"Executive Orders (EOs) are legally binding orders given by the President, acting as the head of the Executive Branch, to Federal Administrative Agencies. Executive Orders are generally used to direct federal agencies and officials in their execution of congressionally established laws or policies. However, in many instances they have been used to guide agencies in directions contrary to congressional intent."
" Executive Orders do not require Congressional approval to take effect but they have the same legal weight as laws passed by Congress. The President's source of authority to issue Executive Orders can be found in the Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution which grants to the President the "executive Power." Section 3 of Article II further directs the President to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." To implement or execute the laws of the land, Presidents give direction and guidance to Executive Branch agencies and departments, often in the form of Executive Orders."
Since ratification in 1788, the president has led the executive branch of government by written orders.
NO I don't know where you are getting your quotes from. But the idea that Executive Orders hold the same weight as law? You have no clue sir. You sound like Progressives and the current President. If Congress does not pass a law you want to be passed you can't Executive Order it into existence. That was why the Supreme Court sent back to the lower Courts the decision on Obama's illegal immigration Executive Order. The President by the Constitution has to uphold the law not change it. Laws are specifically left for Congress to write and the President to sign or veto that's it. Civics 101
The sadly ironic thing is you believe Trump will "Save the Nation"
He is blatantly a charlatan, pandering to the angry on the right who don't want to litmus test anything he says.
The problems the nation is facing are mostly the result of decades of slipping morals and standards across the board. One president doesn't make that or break that. Things have become much worse under Obama, but he didn't break the nation. Its the consistant foolish choices which are doing that. That is grassroots lack of education; lack of moral judgment; lack of will choose right.
Farris is spot on. Also, Christians who make the politics more important than standards of faith are hypocrites. It is a great was to disenfranchise Christians if we abandon our standards for political expediency. Don't be so short-sighted.
"You have to vote for Trump to protect against Hillary" is lesser-evil-ism. Christians don't aim for lesser evil. We aim for God. We aim for perfection.
If you are going to be such a drama queen, I guess you need to change your icon to a rainbow flag. No one person will save or destroy America. Trump is not a god, just a funny looking business man. If you are looking for a savior, I can suggest several.
I'll agree on one thing here... and that's that the American public is being asked to hire one of two corrupt incompetents.
Shots still hurt because of the evil NRA.

You #NeverTrumpers need to stop acting like whiny little babies, put on your big-boy pants, and accept reality. There are only two VIABLE candidates in this race. If you’re not for Trump, then you’re for Hillary, and if Hillary wins, it’s over.
Right now, the Supreme Court consists of four liberal activists, two strict constructionists, one wishy-washy moderate, and one wholly unprincipled political hack. If Hillary gets to pick Scalia’s replacement, that will give the liberals an unstoppable 5:4 majority, and the constitution becomes a dead letter. If she replaces Thomas, Ginsburg, and Breyer with 50-year-old liberals, that will cement a liberal majority for two generations.
Add to that 13-20 million amnestied illegals with full citizenship and voting rights, and our republic is finished. We could elect Thomas Jefferson himself in 2020, and even he couldn’t resurrect it. The only way we will ever get it back after that is through a civil war.
If it comes to that, I’m coming after the #NeverTrump traitors first.
Guilt, peer pressure and now open threats?
WWE Smackdown style or fill your hands with steel acton?
Hahahahaha. You have become the left Ollie. Worry about 'the race', BLM and OWS kicking your asses all over Cleveland first, then adjust fire if you need to.
If you don't vote for hillary, that's a vote for trump by your logic.
Syracusecrook is lacking knowledge of this election roller coaster . Paul Ryan is hoping HiLIARy's win so he doesn't have to wait 8 years to run ( false hope because only Lindsay and Mitten would vote for him ) Sotomayo and Keagan hope HiLiary can give them few more baby sisters or brothers to the Supreme Court.
Well said and i do not view your words as threats but reality.
Many here are waiting for their day of salvation in 4 years, that will never come if hill is elected.
The use of the word Civil War should not be taken so lightly, hill will usher in a economic collapse that will lead to the banks and EBT shutdowns, which everyone here knows will lead to border to border, coast to coast violence. The lines will be drawn and Civil War will begin.
Trump supporters, are you happy with this level of attack from one of your own? OldOllie, spoken like a true Brownshirt. Show me a 15%er.
We #nevertrump people are easy to find. We are about 50% of the GOP and you knew that when you gave Trump the nomination. Why wait? Feel free to come see me now and we can have a battle of whits, then again you are obviously unarmed for such an encounter.
You are absolutely correct Ollie. Just like the Dems....a bunch of whining babies. Brad Thor.....really Glenn? What the hell is Thor going to do.....sell more books? What is Thor's experience?

More than one man has claimed to have had sex with him. Regardless of whether you believe them, that’s evidence. Therefore, the FBI statement is an outright lie.
That's the FBI for you. They need a l-o-n-g time to do their investigations, just like they're doing with Hillary. I think the US could do away with the FBI altogether and save themselves billions in the process.

Trump could BUY Shark Tank and kick them all off.

If we had a formal declaration of war against ISIS, their claim would provide ample justification for shooting them all.

Q: What do you call a lawyer who fails the bar twice and is prone to “debilitating panic attacks?”
It will never go to court. Massachusetts has no authority over a California corporation.

If Trump wins, Obama will probably leave a grumpy in the upstairs master bath.

Deport those here illegally. That will solve a good part of the problem. Also, if it can be shown someone had advance warning of an attack and did not report it, they should be charged as an accessory and punished severely with up to life in prison.
Another person who clearly knows nothing about the law.
I'm not agreeing with Buttkowski Ollie, but I don't thing the law firm representing this guy will be able to present a good arguement against the defendants attorneys, the law firm of Moohamid Obama & Moohamid.
The negatives are comparing France's Napoleonic law to our American laws. No similarity at all. So stop quoting knowing laws when you don't have a clue. I lived in Mexico for several years and they also have Napoleonic law and you won't like it! Guilty until proven innocent while our says innocent until proven guilty. So any crime and you are automatically guilty in France or Mexico.

Had this occurred in a redneck bar, the outcome would have been quite different.
That being said, the three rules are:
1. Don’t go into gun-free zones.
2. If you MUST go into a gun-free zone, keep your gun well concealed.
3. If you MUST go into a gun-free zone, and you cannot take your gun, wait for the perp to reload, and charge him like a rabid Tasmanian Devil on meth.
