The bigoted ignorance, arrogance and hostility here is astounding! The Vatican is a sovereign state and as such should conduct commerce within their borders. Why is this a bad thing? For all of you criticizing the pope or the relics of the church: such items PALE in comparison to the amounts given in Christian charity. How do you measure the worldly stewardship of God’s children? Have you counted the hours of volunteerism or the meals served? As members of the body of Christ, we individually give to one another- and in our Father’s house we give that which pleased the eye and sacrifice for The Lord. I wouldn’t think to serve Jesus on paper plates I’m my own home- I would pull out my best china. So it is in the church.

In this Christmas season I hope that we all can take the time to reflect on true evangelization and how we can come together, respectful of the dogmatic ways and unique traditions of each of our churches. God Bless and may you be filled with the grace of the Holy Spirit.

If you believe that you are righteous by faith alone and not by acts or “actions” you are either not living as a Christian or are ignorant to the bible. If you are to live as a person saved by Jesus Christ, you are called to follow his teachings which include actions by which you are to live your life and conduct yourself. God Bless you and may the Holy Spirit guide you to the truth.

How about this: how does any person’s sexuality have anything to do with this ad? Ellen is one of the few reasonable representatives of the homosexual community- and so long as she isn’t picking anyone’s pocket or breaking anyone’s back who give a flying c*** if she is gay?

I will be buying as much as possible from JCP this year- not in support of homosexuality, but in support of the tolerant love of Christ this season and the belief that good will toward men means all man on earth. The irrational intolerance needs to stop and dialogue needs to take over the conservative platform. Stand by your ideals and stop with your bigoted idiocy.

I have to agree on this one. I do the majority of cooking and most of the world’s chefs are male. I attend a college for art that focuses on culinary studies. Package the thing in blue and red and show that real men are those who have employable trade skills. The only thing I would b against is then putting a boy in a frilly apron- this “gender neutral” society has got to go.

AMEN. It is well past time for the church to truly stand for principles, and that means saying the hard things. Look- Jesus frequently told individuals “Get away from me satan,” yet we seem to be just fine now getting in bed with evils. Abortion is an even bigger issue. Priests should b up every weekend saying that is you believe in wanton killing of innocents you have no faith! If you see marriage as an institution devoid of sacramental merit, you have no faith!

There is something fishy about this story- perhaps something missing. I am an Eagle Scout, my brother and my best friends are Eagle Scouts. Never have I seen discrimination from the BSA of this particular nature.

My guess is that this kid, given his move toward publicity, is trying to make a name for himself by being particularly outspoken about his sexual orientation and is instigating and creating the situation he is in. I guarantee there are some homosexual Eagles, but they wouldn’t b the kind of respectable gentlemen who would put their “orientation” before their achievement.
