  • you’re absolutely right. I think though, unfortunately, the general population commenting here on The Blaze is also amongst the easily persuaded dumb. The amount of off-topic political ranting and blaming the president is unreal. I really wish the operation of government was a required curriculum for our youth so people can realise when a bipartisan budget issue is everyone’s fault, not the president’s. I guess he’s an easy target for the simple minded.

  • Thanks for your sound response :)

I like socialism because it allows for a better safety net when hard working Americans can’t get things to work. I know charities and private organisations do make good safety nets, they have inherent accessibility issues in quite a few ways. I wouldn’t want a church trying to preach to me if I needed a loaf of bread cause a paycheck came in late.

I know this country’s founding history and how socialism played a role in keeping Democratic control of slavery and crop production. And I agree on the individual consideration each person should have to their own economic futures, I just don’t think Obama has a lot directly to do with the issues, rather state legislatures and senate representatives to affect change.

I didn’t vote for Romney because of how inconsistent he was during interviews. I felt like a president who changes his mind constantly when asked the same question isn’t productive.

Voting needs a HUGE restructuring. I would start with the removal of the electoral college, prohibiting district realignment for majority votes in the state, and allowing majority states more of a reason to host a President during election. Statistically, our voting system has a 5% failure rate due to the electoral college. Is a 5% rate acceptable when we’re dealing with the future of our country?

  • I mean, I wouldn’t go THAT far praising him, but he does some good and bad things here and there.

  • I’m kind of on the fence as a social libertarian, except without some of the free market crap. I like individual responsibility, but I think the safety net should be government involved for ease of access reasons. Things of that nature.

The only one being a sheep here is the one saying that I won’t understand your opinions. What kind of nonsense is that? Just because the last 100 challenged people you came across didnt understand a concept, doesnt mean someone else won’t. TALK about your problems, SAY why its a problem (especially to your representatives). Or, are you too sheepish to do that too?

Also, my messiah? How close minded can one be? Fiscal conservatism is one thing, but not understanding diversity of religions is another. Most religions are actually the same thing as Christianity, just wrapped up in different labels. Allah? Direct word for God. The more you know.

The whole problem here stems down to an idealogical difference in the opinions on how wealth should be spent. And while I agree that more power should go to the person (thats a republican viewpoint, by the way), I think government involvement should take place on some issues too. The president is in a tight situation, because he doesn’t have as much control as you’d imagine.. Congress sets the budget, approves what happens, and generally runs the show (outside of executive orders and such.) It’s almost like the President job exists to give undereducated citizens someone to blame.

  • Do you really need scientific proof to be energy conscious? At worst, you’re saving your hard earned money and spending less in energy.

Also, I find it awesome that most of these commenters here prove republican, yet are so aggressive towards anyone. Isn’t it the republicans who initiated freedom from slavery and individual rights? And then you’re turning and saying I believe in a flat world? I like intelligent conversation, not namecalling. Anything less is degrading only to yourself.

  • Congress has more to do with things than the president really…

  • Did you just virtually high five yourself for swearing in a comment? :P

  • “how sad so many white liberals have betrayed their nation and her people.by supporting the destruction of the constitution, their country and their very own race.”

Uhh, and how is the destruction of the constitution related to missing attribution from our war heroes?

  • So, I fail to see how it is the left who fell for it? That’s not justified in the article, just some random twitter accounts. Give me a left-oriented news source who reacted to it.

Also, why is this not in the entertainment section?

  • Uhhh, have you seen how easy it is to access the base of a transmission line tower? Have you ever gotten curious about where undersea transatlantic cable junctions are? I mean, the country could do nothing about it, but I think they wouldn’t like bad things to happen like that… I’ve heard an axe goes through a subterranean fiber optic cable fairly easily.
