it says he will come back when we least expect…..but this is for those who are not aware of the time or the hour, do your research and you will see….at the 7th trumpet, no sooner, and He is coming back 1 time not once for the saints and then again for the return…..if you know the character of God then you know He wants you to confront and go through troubles, not sit back and wait for a spiritual santa claus to wisp you away to lala land….did He give His own people a break, no 40 years in the desert, why should we be any different….dont give the new covenant edge, it dont work that way, if you are a child of God then you know how hard it is to be a christian, santa claus is not going to give you all your wishes…grow up and live the faith that Jesus wants you to work thru
Whew...forgive me, but you are so in error. The Church is treated completely different, from Gods Relationship with un-beleiving Jewish folks. They will even be Judged completely differently before Him. THAT is what Jesus said, there is a New Covenant because of Him! We are "different". It depends on your personal relationship with Him. Do you see God as some angry, lightning bolt throwing God? or as the Creator of the Universe, who allowed His Precious Son to step out of Glory, to come down here and take ALL the sins of the world upon Him so as we can walk closely with God. He is a Loving Father, who corrects us sometimes, just as a Loving Father would! It is for our growth, not some kind of punishment. The 40 days for the Israelite s, was punishment for their unbelieving and disobedience. Again, we are not the Gods Chosen People, who He refers to as His Wife, we the Church are the Bride of Jesus! We are at the end of the Church Age, and Jesus is coming for His Beloved Bride. He Promised He will keep us from the wrath of the Tribulation...everything He did at the Cross was His payment for us to last all of Eternity...
"work thru"? So justification by grace through faith, but sanctification through works?
How about there will be "works" as a byproduct that shows proof of our submission to Christ?
Of course, the definition of "works" is often completely wrong. Oh, the subject of another thread.
The sanctification through "grace alone" is a Protestant reformist doctrine called "sola gracia". Sanctification through "faith alone" is also a Protestant reformist doctrine called "sola fide".
The Reformation yielded 5 "solas", these being 2 of them. It was a departure from traditional, and Apostolic teaching. A departure from Apostolic teaching is deemed "heretical", for Scripture plainly states that Christ delivered the FULLNESS of the faith to His Apostles, and sealed it by the gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, 40 days after Christ's resurrection. They in turn safeguarded these doctrines in THE CHURCH, BY THE CHURCH, AND FOR THE CHURCH. There, in CHRISTS CHURCH, have these doctrines been maintained for 2000 years, unchanged.
No, I'm not speaking of the Roman Catholic Church, for they have altered many doctrines. No, I'm not speaking of any Protestant church, for they too have altered many things.
There is only ONE church that can validate the claim that 1. They were established by the Apostles, and 2. Their doctrines have remained UNCHANGED since they were delivered by the Apostles.
It's the Orthodox Church. The oldest Church in the world. Established by Paul, Peter, James, and the other Apostles. Still espousing the same doctrines that were established from the very beginning. Find it out for yourself.
"show me your faith, and there I will show you works"......
Do you pray? That is a work.
Do you fast? That is a work.
Do you tithe? That is a work.
Do you feed the poor? That is a work.
Do you go to church? That is a work.
Do you "live" according to Christ's instruction? That is a work.
Works strengthen our faith, which is why they are necessary. Faith impels us to "work", which is why IT is necessary.
It is a both/and relationship, not an either/or relationship. BOTH are required for our salvation.
"Faith without works is dead faith", but works alone will not save anyone, "lest we boast" because of our works ONLY.
Scripture is so clear here. Not contradictory.
Just friendly correction. Yeshua haMessiah (Jesus Christ) gave the Holy Spirit 50 days after His Resurrection which is Shavaot (Pentecost). He walked 10 days after His Resurrection and 40 days after that (50) was the giving of the Holy Spirit. (i.e. Jesus fulfilled the 4 spring Feasts: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits & Shavaot) Jesus will fulfill the last 3 fall Feasts as well: Trumpets, Atonement & Tabernacles. Peace.
Amish: Yes, the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost, 50 days after the resurrection. However, Christ's ascension was 10 days prior to Pentecost. I either said it incorrectly, or you misunderstood me. I meant to say the Holy Spirit was delivered at Pentecost, but that Christ ascended 10 days prior.
Thanks for the correction!
Will we hear these trumpets or .......
Well...... what is a trumpet representing in the bible?

have you been reading the comments, is your mind made up because someone told you there was no rapture? or did you do the study yourself? don’t believe us read the scriptures, do a hermeneutic study and you find the truths that lie in the scriptures yourself….
I did Study it. And there is no Rapture.
Just Like , you do not go to Heaven when you Die.
You are in the Grave until the Resurrection .
If as you say " you do not go to Heaven when you Die.
You are in the Grave until the Resurrection"
Then Jesus was a liar when he said to the thief on the cross "today you will be with me in Paradise.
Perhaps your views on other "mysteries" are equally mistaken.
You post has an angry/frustrated tone to it.....

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.1 Thes 4:16-17
in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMPET(7th Trumpet Rev. 11:15-19). For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:52
so if there is no rapture then explain these verses? and dont tell me its allegory…..
September 29, 2014 at 7:00pm
So show how these scripture verses tell you the timetable of when exactly christians will be rapture pre-trib?… i do not see that here
Sorry you missed that. Exactly at 4:15 CST, on Oct1.
Luke 21: 34-37
I Thessalonians 1:9-10
I Thessalonians 5:1-10
I better get my bags pact right now!
(Sarc. ). ; )
Truth be told "no man knows the time or the hour" a quote from our Christ, Jesus
There are no verses written which support rapture
Many rapture theorists quote 1 thessalonians Ch 4:17 out of context and all that rapture, however that event does not take place until after Satan as the Fake Jesus has been defeated and the 7th trumpet (final one) has sounded
People have to get and keep the sequence and order of events straight, Using stray partials of text to build up a case for rapture is stupidity and will lead Christians to worship the fake Jesus (the one who appears in the flesh). There are two Christs, do you know which one is the correct one? One will be in the flesh and the other in the spirit, which one will you follow?
To me, it makes perfect sense.
But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!
What are "watching" for? Before these verses he was talking about End Times.
Also, in the verse I mentioned above, Luke 21:36.....why do we need to "watch" and pray that we may be able to escape. Escape what??? To me, since he is speaking about end times, that is what we are trying to escape.

our church did something similiar once, people tithed and the pastor told the congregation if you are in need take out from the tithe basket that is being passed around…I thought that was beautuful
Truly a way to help out a brother/sister in their time of need. God Bless you.
 July 29, 2014 at 9:27am
oh come on this is just a demonic spirit, it will say anything to get you to not release it…haha, just tell it to shut up and leave in the name of Jesus and it must go…it does not take a “special” person to do this, we as believers are required to get these filthy things out of people…

 June 21, 2014 at 1:24pm
A church no longer becomes a church of the christian faith if and when it strays from the basic practices and beliefs set down by the written Word of God, this is our guideline for what is moral, what is acceptable behavior, if any institution does not abide by these concepts then it no longer become relevent and then is just a sunday morning social gathering
While I certainly agree with some of what you say, I disagree that everything has to be in the written Word of God. Jesus never came and wrote a book while he was here, but he did spend 3 years teaching those that eventually wrote "some" of what he taught them down. By confining to the Book as only those teachings as valid, you're throwing out a lot of teachings that were passed on by the apostles through the church Christ founded. You might need to do a little history research and read some of what the church fathers had to say. (Ignatius of Antioch, St. Justin Martyr, and a couple others come to mind.) But of course, to be deep in history is to cease to be Protestant, so proceed with caution.
 June 21, 2014 at 1:18pm
@freeberty, we as the church, the true church do not see others to be righteous, because there are none righteous, not one….but the whole point is that if you are a christian then you will abide by what the bible proclaims as what is good and what is not, it is not the judgement of the christian but the declaration that are set down by what is written in The Word, if any church strays from these basic laws then they are not a christian church any longer, but a social club

This man did nothing wrong, his face was put on a ca of beer without hhis consent and without his knowledge, the institution has no right to fire him, he can sue for unlawful termination and I hope he does unless they reinstate him, he also has the right to sue the company that put his image on the can for undo diress as a result of this…..its just unfortunate that this christian school would do this, it shows no compassion….WWJD

come on people, what, did I just fall off the turnip truck, this elaborate cup was something 1st century fisherman used to drink out of? even Jesus would have looked at this and said, “ok guys, wheres the real cup?”

I lived in Michigan for many years just 5 blocks from Lake Michigan, though these pictures are beautiful, they are not unusual for the Great Lakes this time of year….nothing to see here move along ……

So is allah allowed in school? or do the liberals consider that “diversity”, if so then most schools if not all have a double standard in America…….but we already knew this, but no one seems to complain or push this issue….
December 18, 2013 at 1:26pm
Savage is all about himself, he talks on and on and on about himself and maybe talks about the issues…I dont think he should be included in withe REAL talk show hosts
December 7, 2013 at 10:36pm
no point in getting upset at these people…let them spin their spiderweb around themselves and try and weazel out of it after it takes a dive
"We" spent many years not paying attention to them and not getting upset about what they were doing. Now, look where we are. How long will it be before you do get upset? Will it be too late? It may be too late already.

no what is cruel is the hunter who did not pursue the animal and finish the job… thats what is wrong here
November 5, 2013 at 12:41am
Many of the stories in the bible are used as examples for living today, to think you know all the answers is like how the Pharisees treated Jesus, thinking they knew it all and this dumb carpenter did not have the education to compete with their knowledge base, so please dont stick your nose in the air, maybe you will learn something if you just stop and listen for once….
October 24, 2013 at 9:20pm
ok we will come and take your stuff first, and move into your house
October 23, 2013 at 8:03pm
so your saying we turn church into a circus act to “entertain” people so they will stay, this is exactly what the comprimising church does and it attracts people who have no depth in their spiritual life…..we need encounters from God in our lives, this will get people excited, show Jesus how He really is, not some far away dude that is not real and lives in a far away place, but is alive and living in you and around you and really is concerned about everything you do and are.
I am in a church that is mostly young people from age 18 -30, and we thrive, we grow and we are excited about Jesus and want to know more about him….hungry for Him and His word…why? they encounter Jesus, they get to know Him as a REAL person, not some ethereal being in lala land
