  Why do so many people think the conservative method of success is to water down what they say they believe? If they want to attract more votes, they should just stand for what they say they stand for, I believe most of the disgust with congress is that the GOP caves too much, that has a tendency to tick of the conservative base so much, that they stay home on election day. If the Romney/Ryan ticket had really lived the conservative philosophy, the conservatives would have turned out like they did in 08 and he would have won, and I cannot tell you if that would have been good or bad at this point. I have to agree with Rush and Beck here, those who have run are not that close to real conservative thinking in the first place, and that is the GOP’s fault, they are afraid of running a true conservative. What they have been doing has really worked out well, hasn’t it?

  If isolated cases exist, and I am not saying they don’s, then why not state that and this would have been a non story. Not a time for a big tent approach. Similar to the situation with guns, isolated, though horrible, mentally unstable persons do not represent the masses, just like one drunk behind the wheel does not represent all drivers, or drinkers, but I guess some individuals searching for their few moments of fame will be as outlandish as possible just to stir the pot.

  I do have to agree that quoting scripture in front of the Supreme court will not go very far, and for that reason there has to be a constitutional argument. Do I believe that it is wrong by scripture, yes, do I believe it is wrong per the constitution, yes. A key point would be, why limit it to gay marriage, if you go past one man and one women, you cannot just say gay marriage alone is ok, why not friends who are not gay, why not allow anyone to do as they want because someone else does it? Happy and Success are not Rights, last I heard.

  Bill O is in it for ratings, he walks close enough to GOP/conservative to make a large portion of his audience tag along. His game is to “control” the discussion, count how many times he agrees to any other point except his.To use a Rush term on the other side, Bill O acts like the big brother for the low information GOP/Conservative voter, and there are a lot of those too. Sometimes it gets old, Bill O bullying his point, and all the arguments that Hannity has on his show. Seems Bill over does the control and Sean has none….just my point of view….have to say Beck seems to actually listen, and seldom argues….easier to listen and reason a point….Beck is also the only one who says, “don’t just go by what I say, check it out yourself”

  Years ago, I worked for Service Merchandise, and they were the first that I knew of to ask for a zip code. They actually used the info to understand where their customers were coming from, and built stores in these areas because of it. If I remember correctly, they built the Ft Smith, Arkansas store from info they got in the Little Rock store….
