  • Texans are some of the most giving and caring people you will ever meet. If you doubt that, ask anyone from the last dozen or so national disasters, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, forest fires… Texas give generously in both $$$$$ and volunteering their time and materials to help folks in other states.

It’s a shame that ignorant, jealous, idiots choose to politicize a terrible industrial accident. Were there mistakes make…it sure looks like it. just like the idiots in New Orleans who ignored over 40 years of warnings by the federal government that they needed to reinforce the sea walls and build up the surrounding area to sea level… Texas took in over 400,000 refugees…many of which still reside in Texas. There were 100s of Texans that went to Joplin MS after the tornadoes…taking tons of supplies and volunteers to help clear and rebuild…Yes, even after the big storm recently in the North East, where volunteer electricians and men and women from many different building and public service trades went to NY and NJ…only to be turned away because they were not Union…where much of the damage was because of poor building codes and improper / inadequate seawall and buffering areas…for a coastline area…

Well, maybe NEXT TIME…we’ll just stay the heck at home and let you deal with you own stupidity.

  • It will be very “instructive/informative” to the liberals to watch and see by just how much the violent gun related crimes rate DROPS after passing this new law…Pretty much in every true democracy that they have encouraged gun ownership around the world…the rate of violence has dropped, not increased…and everywhere they have increased restrictions on guns… the violent gun crime rates have increased as well…

  • It really should be no surprise at all…now that our generation (and you know who you are…”If it feels good, do it”, “Never trust anyone over the age of 30.”, “Don’t worry, be happy.” “Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll.”) is at the helm.

We have become a nation where a large portion of the population has abandoned God altogether, and even among those who claim to be Christians, many have been seduced by what Dietrich Bonhoeffer described as “cheap grace” in his book, “The Cost of Discipleship.”

What on earth is “cheap grace,” and how is that relevant to our current political meltdown? Read on… for it is in part, the negative consequence of this cheap grace that have slowly been waking up many American Christians and returning us onto the path to salvation, and to the path of true citizenship. Cheap grace has now mutated and infiltrated our national political infrastructure with what I believe is best described as its corollary, “cheap citizenship.” (all will be explained, read on.)

First, and very briefly…you’ll need to know a little about Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He was a Christian minister of extraordinary faith, courage, conviction, and patriotism who lived in Germany at the time Hitler and his National Socialist (Nazi) Party came to power.

Why, you might ask, is this man’s story relevant to Americans in 2011?
    • He was both a unflinching patriot, and fearless Christian martyr.
    • He demonstrated in his daily life, coura

  • “If you love wealth more than liberty,
    the tranquility of servitude better
than the animating contest of freedom,

and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

“When principles that run against your deepest convictions begin to win the day, that battle is your calling, and peace has become sin. You must at the price of dearest peace lay your conviction bare before friend and enemy, with all the fire of your faith.” Abraham Kuyper (1837–1920), theologian, statesman, journalist, and Prime Minister of the Netherlands (1901–1905)

  • Don’t you think that would depend ENTIRELY upon the nature and content of those 1,000′s of pages of classified paperwork…especially considering that they could have come from a four star general level of access…hummm?

  • The cost of tolerance of evil is corruption of the soul.

  • Sorry, but our justice system is out of control, unwilling to rule on the law, rather they choose to rewrite it, and interpret it beyond it’s intent. Justices can AND SHOULD be removed for BAD BEHAVIOR

  • Obama is a pathological liar. It is not that he does not know the truth…it is he does not consider it important to tell the truth…rather it is just something to work around…
