  160 confirmed kills. Wow. That is the definition of an American hero; a killer. By that regard Chris Dorner should be held up as an American icon for all to behold. Chris Kyle and Dorner are dirt, and they are both indicative of what has gone wrong with men in this country, men who have the mentality of a savage mongrel. Both of them were brainwashed sociopaths. I cannot fathom how Glenn Beck, who holds reverence to God and non-violence could ever hold such killer up in such high regards. I ask again, has anybody here ever read American Sniper? It is so much mindless dribble and propaganda, and hate. Read Marine Sniper instead, covering the exploits of Carlos Hathcock to get a look inside the mind of a man who is not a mindless brute. I don’t see much of difference between fire-bombing Dresden or shooting Iraqis. War makes killers of us all. Why anyone would take pride in killing defies the bond of humanity. Go read Lt. Col. Grossman’s book On Killing. It will open your eyes. Then read On Combat by the same author. There are simply no better titles to explain the transition from man into killing machine.

  I really find it hard to believe that anyone here could empathize with a stone cold killer. Have any of you actually read the book American Sniper? If it was not ghost written, then I have to conclude that Chris Kyle was a sociopath. The slaughter of men and women is not something to boast about. There is nothing laudable in American Sniper. I have read many combat memoirs, and this one by far is the most callous and de-humanizing account of how a brainwashed government trained killer can be made to disregard natural law and be made to accept the notion that when a politician in authority orders you to kill other people in a distant land, then the cause is just. If anyone on this forum opposed the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, then you cannot hold this man up as positive role model. I would be embarrassed to speak these deeds if they were my own. Anyone ever wonder why so many of our vets and service are committing suicide at record rates since GWOT? 12 years of war and multiple combat deployments will turn most men into the classic PTSD case. Chris Kyle had the intellect of a savage.
