Palin…lol. all you ‘conservatives’ don’t dig far do you? responsibly for one of the most progressive tax structures in the country that is literally crippling the state’s economy…then abandons her job in the middle of her term. every ‘conservative’ on that list got a majority ‘yes’ answer. that’s our problem. in the midst of seeing how bad progressives are, we lose sight (unless blindingly obvious like J. McCain) of the same lying progressives that happen to sit on the right.

See this is what I like about conservatives. Not afraid to call out each others b.s. Yeah, signing it may not do anything, but you have to be willing to do whatever it takes. Even if we can get a story that 100,000 signatures or more where on this petition…it is something. Take a page from the progressive handbook. Every little bit counts. Do you believe in our God given rights, or do you just like to sound tough on the internet?

MARSBARSTRU7 – you literally didn’t even make any sort of intelligent or well thought stance on the issue. Make fun and insult. That’s a great tactic…problem is most people on this site are used to dealing with that juvenile attempt at a conversation…you won’t get much traction here.

Skee – Great point. That is the crux of the whole thing.

The tax revenue is the smallest benefit to the country (even though it would be an enormous surge in government revenues…err…takings). There are a ton of arguments for the medical & personal side of legalization, but less frequent arguments are made for the industry that could see a total resurgence. Yes…resurgence.

The cash crop that can be had of growing hemp (the kind of marijuana plant you don’t want to smoke…unless you enjoy blinding headaches) could be a huge boom to our economy. Not only can it grow in almost any environment in the U.S., but the volumes of usages for hemp in all facets of life are amazing. Not to mention the superior quality & need for less chemicals than any of its competitors. We are robbing this country of a serious cash crop & resultant high quality material goods (pun intended…but again…don’t smoke the cash crop hemp variety…zero fun.) Remember, this used to be a booming industry in the U.S.

As for the recreational and medical usage….there really is no valid argument for it being illegal.

JRook, would you be so kind as to do the same with your dear leader? I don’t think there is a soul on this entire site that thinks Romney is the second coming…that is still a stark contrast from the feelings of Obama supporters. Romney isn’t perfect, but he can’t hold a candle to the level of utter failure we have all witnessed for the last 4 years (and most people would agree that you can toss Bush’s 8, or at least his last 4, in that mix as well).

I happen to agree with JROOK in this case, though not likely for the same reasons. This author does take a steamer on the tradition of the SEALs (my only knowledge on their tradition is from what I read directly from other SEALs…I am in no way claiming to be related to that under-appreciated group of true patriots). Additionally, though I don’t know how it is relevant here, Palin is a terrible leader. She speaks of one end of the spectrum and her record is detailed with some of the most liberal legislation to come through her former state. She exemplifies what is wrong with politics…all talk, no adherence to values unless it comes with $/power. However, if you use Palin as an example of a failure in leadership, she still can’t compete with the utter incompetence & arrogance spewing from every orifice of B.O. And there seems to be no angrier, more hypocritical mob than the members of the liberal left who accuse EVERY conservative of out and out racism, bigotry, sexism, & hate for anything other than the white male while bashing any conservative minority or woman with the exact bigotry they claim to be harbingers of.

Can’t lie…I laughed & would laugh if it was done similarly in the Romney campaign. The media wouldn’t be too appreciative, but pointing out their double-standards is old and tiresome.
