  • This may seem relatively insignificant on the surface, but it only means that we have lost site of the American dream and the American reality. Communism has destroyed so many people and so many countries, and yet our job czar is saying that it works. This is bordering on blasphemy. Go read what the manifest destiny was really about.

  • I’m beginning to realize that our country is not at a crossroads, but very far down a dangerous path of apathy, that the founding fathers predicted could be our demise. I believe that we have several generations of Americans that just don’t fight hard for their individualism, they don’t really understand how economics or the world works. Think about the lifetime of a baby boomer. Fantastic and amazing economic and technological growth; no saving any money; all health care and retirement taken care of. Who pays for it? The next generation AND, it is so big a debt, the generation after that. Unfortunately, these generations don’t even get that. Children are in school 3-4 hours a day while in other countries they are studying all of the time. That is evident to me in my professional work place where well over half of the employees aren’t even citizens. It wasn’t like this 20 years ago. I no longer believe that a Romney presidency will turn this around, and even am suspicious that we might need another 4 more years of Obama to accelerate the fall to rock bottom.

  • I signed up with the Blaze just so I could comment here.

I work like most private citizens, 50-60 hours at my regular job (working now). Plus, I have built a business with my wife over the course of thousands of hours. It is a gaming software company and no, I did not get ANY help. In fact, it was and is a complete uphill battle with everything involved.

“Well you didn’t make the software or tools to build it did you”.
Yes, I did. Yes, I worked on the operating system, the tools, et. al at my regular job.

*MAYBE* some day I will profit. But if Obama gets re-elected, I am packing it up. It isn’t worth the risk just for 70% of it to be taken (software companies take 30%, government at least 40%)
