It is comforting to know that I am not alone.

White Privilege huh? That guy is an educated egghead brainwashed idiot. In the fall of 1972 a teammate & I went for interviews at a MAJOR north eastern college. We were both runners looking to get accepted for a possible scholarship. My GPA was 2.9, his was 1.8. He had never beaten me in a race (we both ran the same events). I was turned down by the college and he was accepted. I spoke to the AD there a few weeks later. He was honest enough to admit that there were minority quotas that needed to be met. So much for “White Privilege”.

She is planning well in advance. Warning people that “the news media has a “double standard” against women in powerful positions.” She’s setting the stage for her run in 2016 by making it known that powerful women are unmercifully attacked by the media. She is setting the stage for herself as a “victim” so when the time comes and the media begins to air out her dirty laundry she’ll be able to say “I told you over 2 years ago this would happen.”

There are some out here who feel you’re a fear mongerer just out to make a buck. I know very well that’s not true at all. Watching your show over the last 5 years has been an education in history. I thought I knew my history, but you got down to the details and the relationships between the people who made this country great. You’re a good and decent person who overcame your own demons to become the person that you are today. You’re not afraid to speak your mind and you helped educate a good portion of the American public over the last 5 years about who we were, what we were, and who who we are now. In order to see the truth about the good things in life we also have to acknowledge the truth about the bad things we see. You’ve done that on a regular basis. You’ve been a teacher and a mentor for me. I relate so closely to who you are, what you care about, and what you want for the future of our country. I have a video copy of lots of your shows that I keep as a historical record. There is one of those that is my favorite, your “Grandpa’s chair”. And I’ve been telling my wife for over 15 years that I want an old pickup truck, preferably from the late ’30′s, but those mid to late ’50′s are sweet too. Maybe one of these days soon I’ll realize that dream too. Congratulations on your success and of course Happy 50th Birthday.

I hope your show is able to get on DirecTV soon.

It wasn’t so long ago that kids could go out and play with their friends.

It wasn’t that long ago that kids like myself, and maybe you too Mick, were doing this… and everybody got to go home & eat dinner afterward. –

@ Grover – a bit of education for ya on U.S. citizenship:

First – the term natural born citizen was coined in the 18th century, first used in The Law of Nations (Emmerich DeVattel 1758). There is no record of that term prior to 1758. The Founders used it 30 years later in the Constitution.

Second – there are three types of citizens – naturalized citizen, citizen (not natural born), and natural born citizen. A natural born citizen has no special rights under the law except that it is specified in the Constitution that it’s required in order to be President.

Third – not every citizen is a natural born citizen. If the Founders wanted any American citizen to be eligible to be President then they would have said only an American citizen can be President. But they didn’t say that did they? No, they said in order to be President you must be a “Natural Born Citizen”.

The Immigration & Naturalization Act has NOTHING to do with “Natural Born Citizen” status.

@ DARTHMIMS – a “naturalized” citizen is NOT a “natural born” citizen. Geez oh man, go look up the definitions of the two terms. A “naturalized” citizen can NEVER be a “natural born” citizen”. That’s why they were naturalized. A naturalized citizen’s child, born after that parent’s naturalization, can be a “natural born citizen” if the 2nd parent is also an American citizen (naturalized or not) at the time of the birth and the birth takes place on American soil.

Hey Darth, a citizen upon birth does not necessarily mean “natural born citizen” upon birth. NOWHERE, NOWHERE in that Immigration and Naturalization Act, Section 301 does it say “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN’. NOWHERE. They are citizens, not every citizen is a natural born citizen, but every natural born citizen is a citizen. GO DO SOME HOMEWORK ON THE SUBJECT.

My compliments to you FORDFAN. Now, if we can make the rest of the Conservatives, Independents, and some of the “real” Democrats that are still out there understand what you just referenced – we might be able to save the Republic.

If you believe in the Constitution as the Law of the Land, and you believe America is a land of Laws and not of men, then Cruz is going to have to tell America and the rest of the world that the Constitution matters and that he is NOT eligible to be president the same way Obama was and is still not eligible for the office. The same goes for Rubio and Jindal.

  • August 14, 2013 at 1:07pm

Correct – they are a U.S. citizen. No mention of “natural born citizen”. There is a distinct difference, that’s why the term was used in the Constitution by the Founders.

  • August 14, 2013 at 1:03pm

If the Constitution is ignored for Cruz, as well as it was for Obama – then our Constitutional Republic no longer exists.

Been following this story. He runs a red light going very fast (that’s on video-no news on where he was coming from or if someone was following him yet), he goes a few more blocks, makes a left turn at an intersection and about 150 yards down that street is where he crashed. He had to slow down to make that left, don’t see how he picked up that much speed in less than 150 yards to completely wipe out the whole front end on that Mercedes. The car was at the tree perpendicular to the road he was traveling on. The engine was reportedly 100 feet further down the road. How does the engine shoot 100 feet down the road at the 12 o’clock position when the front end of the car is pointing left in the 9 o’clock position up against a tree?

And, the car completely bursts into flames in a complete ball of fire. I read where one witness said the car blew just before it crashed. That could account for the engine being so far from where the car was sitting. If there was an explosion in the front end it could have blown the engine out and away and engulfed the car in flames.

@ leeteam – off topic??? Not at all. When I saw that NY’er cover that was the first thing that jumped out at me. Anyone who has EVER seen the 1933 Kong knows that scene.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero – Roman Statesman, circa 58 B.C.

No no Monica. Failing Up is being way too nice. Back in the day, bout 1980 when I worked for Big Blue I coined the term “FUMU”. That’s the fk up move up method of getting ahead in this world. And it still works in 2013.
