  Football is Football. I certainly wouldn’t want to play it so I respect the guys that do want to play it. If you are playing in a football game, expect to be hit. If you don’t like being hit or you are afraid of being hit, get off the field. As for this being a spring game, ever hear of “practice like you play”? If you practice light danty tackling, you will play light danty tackling. It was a good hit, move on.

  I’m not against tusing the Bible as a teaching tool if it applies to the lesson (such as Roman or Jewish history). Everyone should read the entire Bible, even if you are not religious, read it as literature.

  Horrible. Simply horrible. People like him don’t deserve to live, period. I coach U14 Soccer and have been involved with other kid sports basically my whole life. I’ve seen kids fight one another, I’ve seen coaches go at it, I’ve seen coaches go at refs, refs go at coaches, parents go at coaches, parents go at refs, I’ve seen high school aged kids go at coaches and refs but I’ve never seen a coach cheap shot a 13 year old ever in my life. 15 days in jail and 12 months probation is not enough for this dirtbag.

  I have a 2008 Hyundai Elantra and have had the shifter get stuck before. The battery has a plastic cap on the positive terminal that broke and fell off and got jamed in the shifter linkage (I’m not a mechanic so I don’t really know how it happened just that it did) I’ve never had the throttle stick before so I don’t know about that part of the story, just that a stuck shifter is possible. Also, you can’t turn the car off while it is in drive (just park and neutral which the kid couldn’t get to) so that part is possible too.

  How a stuck throttle happens and how breaks would fail to work is beyond me.
