  Am I the only one who noticed this? One of the city of Austin’s primary “concerns” was that the underground shelter had “weakened the street”. If that is so, why do I see FIVE cemet trucks on the road? at ~60,000 pounds apiece (minimum), we’re talking 150 tons. If I thought the street had been weakened, I sure wouldn’t roll all this weight on it! Not only does it seem to me that someone actually did have it in for this guy, but his fourth amendment rights have been violated. He should sue for several million dollars and his attorney should request a change of venue to another county for the trial, since it is highly unlikely he would get a fair trial in Travis County.

  It’s sad that “Pit Bull” has been used to refer to any dog that bites or attacks. I wrote a paper in college on this and had a slideshow presentation with 20 different dog breeds on it, including the Dogo Argentine (which is the dog in the video), and Presa Canario, which killed a woman in CA a few years ago. I asked the audience to pick the pit bull on a ballot. After the tally, on ONE person out of the 40 got it correct. I raised pit bulldogs 20 years ago, and I never had a problem with any of them, but you must know how to handle dogs. You NEVER get face to face with any dog, especially one that is unfamiliar with you. Grabbing and putting your face up in theirs is a sign of aggression and dominance. If you do it, you can expect to get bitten!

  JGunner, don’t engage the troll. It’s like shining a turd – you can try to make them libidiot trolls see the light, but you just end up frustrated and all dirty feeling.

  Any “Evil Israeli baby/woman/child killing” video will be the result of the displaced Jordanian (i.e. “Palestinian”) either moving bodies from one site to another, to inflate the death toll, or of them committing murder or mutilation of their own and displaying the bodies for propaganda purposes.

  15% my a$$! If there is a federal sales/use/consumption tax, it should be no more than 7%. In order to implement that, you will need two amendments to the constitution – the first to nullify the income tax and the second to implement the new system. Furthermore, the percentage must be hard set in the amendment so that congress can’t change it on a whim like they are so wont to do with the income tax rate, and it must prohibit any other form of federal taxation or fee assessment – this would be the federal government’s ONLY source of income from the CITIZENS.

  Changing the taxation system would do so many positive things to our economy, our competitiveness, our motivation to succeed and our nation as a whole. And it would take the manipulative power away from the feds!
  If people would only wake up to the fact that the federal government has seized and continues to seize power not allowed it by the Constitution and it has enslaved its citizens and curtailed our freedoms at every turn, we would have a series of revolts at the ballot box!

  Obamao (sic) pulled this with the military pay, and now he is holding social security recipients hostage. This aren’t groups of people on a government dole. The U.S. Military is the BEST in the world – the least of them do far more to protect our lives and our rights than any government bureaucrat. The SS and Medicare recipients are not entitlement receivers – they are people who have paid into a system (government-run ponzi scheme) and are now due the payments/benefits. For Obamao to hold this over their heads to get his way is beyond sick, perverted, and filthy.
  Tell me again how the Republican party is the party of fear.
  This president is an absolute disgrace!

  JROOK save your strawman argument for someone who cares to hear it. Illegal aliens here drive American cars after they are intoxicated – it is a cultural display of their bravado to drive while drunk. Should we crack down on the liquor and automobile distributors for the crimes?
  It is plain as day that this was an orchestrated effort, by the executive echelon in the Just-a-Department and the ATF, to trump up the statistics of the gun crimes committed in Mexico with American weapons. The rank-and-file ATF agents had severe misgivings and objections to this outlandish operation and were it not for them blowing the lid off this CRIME, we would not know about it. It has completely backfired on the crooks in charge. If there were any justice, all these fools will pay for what they’ve done. Odd how we aren’t seeing statistics on how many of the American guns used in crimes in Mexico were sold or given by our government to the Mexican government for police and military use……..I wonder if those numbers are being lumped in there as well???? The odds say YES.
