I agree that Jesus is the exact representation of the nature of God. Hebrews 1: 1-3.
I also believe that God gives men the desires of their hearts because He is Love, and because He is Love there is no lie in Him. So if man desires something from self, as he did in the garden where it all started, God gave man what he wanted. Something from self. God gave Adam…Eve. Thus the prideful statement, “Now, this is bone of MY bones…and flesh of MY flesh. In His Omniscience and Divine Providence, our Heavenly Father provided the way back from this broken relationship…..the separation. God Himself provided the very first covering for man. Then he gave the Law, because through the Law comes knowledge of sin. The true purpose of the Law, because no one could keep the law perfectly, was to point man to the Perfect Lamb of God who shed His blood for remission of sin.

Can fallible man add something more to the Truth of God, just to make it more palatable…or relevant to this age?

This is what they had to eat today at Sidwell Friends School.

The FLOTUS should keep her mouth shut about what our children and grandchildren should eat.
I mean all our children should eat the same nourishing food since the FLOTUS and POTUS are so committed to “equality”.
    What a bitch

    hi Wes..
My ancestry is Irish/Welsh/Scot/French. But according to Romans 2:28-29, I am a Jew.

“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh. But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.

“s an example, the preacher noted that he would have given very nebulous terms if someone asked him to describe Jesus’ character before reconsidering his understanding of Christ.”
Jesus told us of his nature in the Bible. He said, If you see Me, you see the Father (they have the same nature). I don’t think Jesus was vague about showing mankind what was needed to live as God wants His children to live.
Also, I don’t think that Jesus needs to be “re-presented” somehow in a “better way”. I can’t even imagine trying to present the Son better than the Father has already done.

“It is time to stand strong for the American people,” he said. “It is time to champion the interests of those constantly neglected on the question of immigration: the men and women and children we represent — the citizens of this country to whom we owe our ultimate allegiance.”

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) reiterated that Obama’s plan to go around Congress has “cemented his legacy of lawlessness,” and said he too would take up the fight for Americans who would be hurt by Obama’s plan.

“Republicans are left with the serious responsibility of upholding our oath of office,” he said. “We will not shrink from this duty, because our allegiance lies with the American people.”

“We will listen to them, work with our members, and protect the Constitution,” Boehner added.
It is time, John? You will protect the constitution, John? It is time to champion the interests of the citizens who give you a paycheck?
You should already be working for citizens, shouldn’t you…?

I will tell you what time it is, John. It is time the American taxpayer stopped funding lazy, do-nothings. Now what will you do, John, when Americans stop handing over half their paychecks? Call Fema to round us all up?

I am very thankful to have feelings of love, compassion, empathy, and child-like wonder.
God created all things; He gave man to capacity to have feelings for a reason.
I guess maybe to show us the difference of being dead inside, and full of life..?
    Thank You Father

    Lovely image.

During my childhood, we were always taught that there were three magi.
Matthew 2:1-2~~ Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is the King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east, and have come to worship Him.”

There wasn’t 3 magi. No number was given….It wasn’t until I was an older adult that I realized this. But it does not change the child-like wonder I feel when celebrating the birth of our Saviour.

I have been called much worse in my lifetime.
If you think I am a hypocrite because I point you to the Truth of God, and suggest that you seek God’s answers in His written word which men wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit….then you will think as you want.

    harry potter,
“So that means no shaving for men, and no speaking in church for women? No eating shellfish or wearing mixed fibers?”
You know the “go-to” questions of those who love the lie.
I have no idea your age, but if your username and posts are any indication, you are quite young. The 2 questions are always taken out of context and without research…..which is why I suggested to read the Bible and use a good Hebrew/Greek/Chaldean lexicon.
If you are as young as I suspect, I can understand you wanting to be spoon fed. Babies want milk and soft food. Then they grow and become young men who desire to learn. And then the young men grow even more and become fathers who can handle the strong meat.
These 3 levels of spirituality are in scripture: babies, young men, and fathers. There comes a time to grow up.

    All scripture is God-breathed.

    harry potter, you posted,
“You cited to rules the Christ gave, and neither of them had anything to do with being gay. So I don’t see any lies that I am telling or accepting, and I don’t see what “truth” you seem to have either.

    Please, enlighten me.”
I can point you to the One who is Light, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
Jesus is The Truth. If you really want to be ‘enlightened’, so you can discern truth from lie, then ask God to show you His Truth.
The Bible and a good concordance and Hebrew/Greek/Chaldean lexicon is the place to start seeking.
Ask, and it shall be given
    Seek and you shall find
Knock and it shall be opened to you

We told our children that to love someone is to tell others the truth and to tell them about The Truth. The Truth of God is not the popular way, or the cool way, or the tolerance of all things way. The Truth of God is the narrow road; it is the small gate, it is The Door, The Vine, and the Husbandman of the Vine. It is the Way back Home.
    It is Jesus Christ.

    harry potter, you posted:
“Now, since we have established that being gay is not sinful, let me ask, do you truly love your gay neighbors? Because you do not act like it.”
“We” did not establish that gay is not sinful; this is your own claim. God established His truth, and it follows that if one Loves God with all their heart, soul, and mind, then they would not exchange His truth for a lie.
You asked if I love my gay neighbors. My answer to that is that I love them enough to tell them the truth. Real love tells the truth, not lies.

    harry potter posted:
“Until you start following ALL the rules in the Bible, you really have no business telling us to follow the couple you like.”
Jesus tells us of 2 commandments to keep: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. And the 2nd: Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matt.22:37-39)
IF you love the Lord your God with everything that you are, then you will not be exchanging the truth of God for a lie.
IF you love your neighbor as yourself, then you would want to give him the truth of God, and not a lie.

blest, good point about “choice is whether you act…..”

An individual makes the CHOICE to “try” sex with the same gender to “see if they like it”…or to try it with both genders to see if they like that. They still have to make that initial choice to actually “try it”.

These “scientists” can do all the studies they want. God tells in Romans chapter 1 about unbelief and its consequences. People can scream and shake their fists in God’s face because they want to live in the lusts of unrighteousness. It is very evident from many on theblaze that they want to redefine God’s creation of man and woman and what the purpose of man and woman is….just to fit their own lusts. God is not a liar. He promised to give us the desire of our hearts. If the desire of someone is to choose to exchange the truth of God for a lie, then the lie is what he/she will get. God will turn them over completely (3 times) to the lusts of their hearts.
