  • Homeschooling is only one option for educating your children. No one should yank their children out of public school in anger or frustration. In order to home school properly the parents need to have a conviction to do it. If that conviction is not there the children will suffer and it will give good home–schoolers a bad reputation.

The key is to be present at the schools during the school hours and to insist that you will volunteer. Also, check out the school counselor; one of ours was into crystals. Check out the curriculum. Don’t just let the schools be your babysitter; get involved even if the teachers don’t like it. If it takes one parent to be a stay at home parent so be it; reduce your spending. If one can’t stay home work in the school as a teacher’s aid or lunch room employee. The most important thing is to always be POLITE.

Just a side note: I did home school (6th through 12th grade). I researched homeschooling six years before becoming deciding on this choice. Best decision I made for my child.

  • We shouldn’t insult animals. Animals only kill for food or to protect their young.

These men are monsters way lower than animals. There is a special place for them when they leave this world. Hell/Hades. Yes, as a Christian I believe there is a Hell. I am soooo politically incorrect by believing in Hell.

  • You have a good point.

  • I am so sick and tired of hearing about equality for homosexuals. What about fairness for heterosexuals and normal married families?

These homosexual/same sex arrangements (marriages) will push or bump normal families out of the chance to get base housing.

There is a very limited supply of on-base housing available for normal families. Families have to wait months or sometimes a year to obtain a base house. Base housing is one the most valuable benefits for the military especially when you are assigned to a remote base or unit. Many military installations are forty-five minutes to an hour drive from a city or town where they can find decent housing off-base at a reasonable price.

Same-sex couples usually have two full paychecks and very few have children to support. Normal families have children to support on one paycheck. The spouse of a normal military member usually has a hard time finding employment when they are in a remote area. Therefore, economically a normal heterosexual married couple should be the only ones able to occupy base housing.

Call me politically incorrect if you want. I don’t care.

  • Opening up combat positions to women is reverse discrimination to men.
Reasons: Women cannot pack as much gear.
Women have more hygiene problems which takes them out of service.
Women get pregnant which takes them out of service for six weeks; men don’t get six
    weeks maternity leave.
I could probably think of more reasons why this is a stupid idea. I am a female veteran; I should know.

  • Excellent post.

  • Can’t you people just express sympathy for the poor woman. Nobody should be hurt like this. She is an innocent person who didn’t deserve what happened to her. Pray for her recovery or maybe her death so she doesn’t have to suffer anymore.

  • Baldwin is disgusting. I hated the that he portrayed General Doolittle in the Pearl Harbor movies a few years back. The real Doolittle would be ashamed of him; I think.

  • I wish people were more kind in their remarks about this news. She has probably lived on the system her whole life and doesn’t know any better. It is sad that she died the way she did.

I don’t like people abusing the system at all, but people could be less vitriolic in the remarks.

  • Duh. All they want is the federal benefits. What happens when there isn’t enough money for everybody else who actually deserves the federal benefits?
