  Resisting arrest is always the fallback charge for law enforcement because in just about every arrest a person will resist in one form or another.

  It is always thrown out if the arrest was illegal or unjustified. A PRUDENT law enforcement officer would have calmly approached and asked for ID, etc. until it was determined what was going on – especially if there was no immediate visible threat as in this case.

  Mattioli spoke the truth. What courage he has to stand up and go against the more common trend to vilify the guns.

  There is an ever increasing atmosphere of violence in this nation and around the world. This is seen in video games and in feature films. Each tries to outdo the other with gore and violence. When teen and young adults play these video games for hours and days on end, it cannot help but have an effect upon their personalities in ways that we don’t yet understand.

  I’m really surprised that we don’t see more atrocities like Aurora and Newtown.

  I foresee many laws like this springing up in the western states. Whether they can be enforced against the federal government is another question concerning the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution and the question of State’s Rights.

  If it holds, I’d consider moving to Wyoming or Montana.
