  This never would have happened in the old west. Everyone was packing heat and ingrates like this criminal would have been gunned down in the street. If anything we need more guns in the hands of everyday citizens. All it would have taken is one or two people with a weapon and lives would have been saved. If its anyone’s fault, fingers should be pointed at the anti-gun lobby, the dumbocrat party and all the Godless Hollywood imbeciles.

  Typical west coast/bay area stupidity. As a conservative Californian its getting harder and harder to justify staying here. I love California and there are a lot of hard working conservative people here, in fact by the numbers there are more registered republicans and libertarians in California than in a lot of the small red states combined. The problem is that the large cities on the coast are full of illegal immigrants, leftists, parasites and ignorant people in general who are bought and paid for by the liberal progressive democrat party . I would like to see an proposition on the ballot there to amend the state constitution to split our electoral votes along the popular vote like Nebraska. That would automatically mean 20-25 votes for a conservative candidate in a presidential election instead of all 55 going democrat every time.

  Sadly I fear we may be beyond remedy here.

  These people are grasping for straws. This is akin to people hoping Obama would be forced to drop out of the 08′ election due to problems with his birth certificate. Wishful thinking. If Romney loses this election it will be because he royally screws it up a la John McCain.

  Fact – Obummer has spent 100 million in the last few months attacking Romney in television ads in swings states and what has it gotten him? A virtual dead heat in the polls with Romney up by a point. This nonsense of Romney dropping out is a sign of desperation.

  I am a California teacher who is NOT a union member. I can say with firsthand experience that unions are sinister, self-serving organizations that truly care very little about rank and file members. They protect lazy workers and persecute those who don’t want to support their leftist agenda. In California and many union controlled states the unions can legally discriminate against non-union workers by deducting dues for “representation” even when one is not a member of the union and then bar those same union members from voting on contractual matters that directly affect their pay/benefits (among other things). Not to mention the fear they cause non-union workers through intimidation and threats.

  If anyone is looking for advice on dealing with unions or forced union membership in their state – check out the non profit National Right to Work Foundation at nrtw.org they can help you fight back and do it free of charge. Take the fight to the unions and take back your workplace.

  I’m looking at making a move to de-certify the union in our school district this year. God willing, I might pull it off.

  Unfortunately the original scouting movement was bastardized in England and other countries from what it was. Lord Robert Baden Powell was an awesome man and is probably turning over in his grave. Not withstanding, for some reason people don’t get that it is a private organization. The Brits and others can do whatever they please. Leave BSA alone. People who don’t want to follow the rules can go elsewhere or form their own institutions with whatever moral standards (or lack thereof) that they please. Although I don’t know how many people would be keen on sending their impressionable young sons on an overnight outing or to a week of camp with a homosexual man.

  I’m a 3rd generation scouter, former scoutmaster, Eagle Scout, current troop committee member etc. I was ready to leave BSA for good if they did not make the decision that they did and I know a lot of other people who would have done the same. BSA made the right decision, whether it was made for the right moral reasons or for fear of mass exodus of membership who knows.

  The homosexuals are trying to corrupt a traditional and moral institution like they have all other similar organizations. Girls Scouts of America already sold out.

  50+ years into the “Great Society” experiment and this behavior is what we get. This is the direct result of failed liberal social programs such as welfare and the promotion of a godless society without any morals or consequences for individual actions. As a teacher who has worked in alternative schools I have seen it first hand.
